Strange reports doing the rounds about Crouch/Defoe etc ... we know Erdinc is the number 1 target based on Graham Carrs recommendations after scouting the guy for more than 12 months .. (good enough for me) But .. is the whole Spurs thing a clever smokescreen for some other business?, we've seen this before where plausible targets pop up in the press getting all the attention and then, lo and behold, a transfer happens that takes us by surprise .. Too optimistic?
i certainly hope you're right about the first parts, i think it's more likely you're right about the last. although to be fair, it will have been the media thats put up the smokescreen due to our silence and their need to create unfounded rumours, rather than the club cleverly doing it.
I think we will get Erdinc hopefully by next week. Then I think our spending will be done. The team with Ben Arfa included will be lethal.

I'd be relatively happy with our strikeforce and with our midfield if that was the end of our spending, but I still think we could have done with more backup in defence, surely Pardew can see this? P.s, Another proven prem striker wouldn't have went a miss either.
