Danny Care does give us something though. Unlike Ford and Farrell. I think we are too clinical for France, but are still miles off the southern boys. Still, early days.
Still all to play for. .....shame farrell missed that last kick to just give a bit more of a buffer..... The French are at least trying to play with more flair than at any time in championship so far......will be an interesting 2nd half....
17-12 at half time, England not quite at their best but Care's brilliant try sets us up well. French playing better than they have throughout the championship and we need a flying start in the second half...
Not the greatest performance, and credit to the French. Well done, England, Grand Slam Winners. This team should develop under Jones.
Great result 3 tries to none reward for the enterprising play of England.......the line out was immense and totally screwed up the French as it stopped them getting a platform to attack.....
That was a cracking game and I'm glad Hartley recovered to lift the trophy. Grand slams are never easy especially when you have to play three away from home. Well done England.
That will be put into context by our 3 test tour of Australia in June, till then we'll bask in the afterglow...
A very sweet chariot! A lot more to come from this team under Jones, who has already improved the line out beyond all recognition. Well done England!
It's great that England are moving in the right direction but there's still a sizeable gap between all the 6 Nations teams and the Southern Hemisphere. In Australia, if England keep giving cheap and often naive penalties away, they'll struggle big time. Discipline is needed, while maintaining the mercurial nature of the play that I haven't seen in an England team in a long time. There's big potential there and I'm betting Eddie Jones can harness it. What an astute guy. You could do business with him, and walk away, before finding he'd taken your trousers...
