Finished in 1-1

Lets save our luck for next season...we were never going to make the playoffs realistically

Sounds like both the referee and JFH went into meltdown in the second half. Referee making all kinds of looney decisions and JFH basically spoiling a perfectly good game with pessimistic tactics and terrible substitutions. Grant Hall on for Chery when we need to keep the ball away from them?

JFH lacks experience.....never changes anything until late. You sub players when tired as well as when goals go in against us. Before anyone criticises this comment it has happened on many, many occasions......When he did, Taking off Chery for Hall brings on pressure

Unfortunately, the man highlighted is the man who scores the equaliser. Sods law.

His record shows that he knows how to score goals, so I was a bit nervous when he came on as the previous crew were firing blanks. We still should have been able to see this game out, or better still score a 2nd goal to give us a buffer.

For once i am happy at how things are shaping up.
Winning today's game would have been a turning point for me on JFH management. Sadly, we fell short but didn't lose so i cannot complain, especially as i hear the ref was a muppet. I hope he keeps the team playing all the way until the end because if we give up now that won't look good for the future.
WE MUST LEARN TO STOP CONCEDING LATE ON AS IT HAPPENS TOO OFTEN!!!

That's our hopes of reaching the play offs gone then. Based on how we have performed over the whole season, we were never a play off team. The table doesn't lie.

I don't think we had much hope anyway, there is too much of a deficit to make up and our away form is very patchy.

How many managers would leave on a luxury player like Chery when 1-0 up late on away at a northern dump like Preston in March? It was straight out of the Warnock manual. Disappointing to concede so late (why so much injury time?) but really nothing to get upset about.

The ref was dreadful should have got his cards out from the start, almost led to numerous lots of handbags, you had the better chances Cherny should have won it for you but we do not give up and deserved a point. Clint Hill used his experience well your best player and Smithies wasted so much time taking goal kicks did not think I would be home this side of Christmas but will settle for 1 all

Thanks for that Themaclad, sounds a fair assessment (from what we heard at our end)...Safe journey home eventually
Goood luck for the rest of the season

Our conceding of late goals is something that has blighted us for years now and under several managers. If anything I'd say we've performed much better in that respect under JFH. Be interesting to know how many truly late goals we've conceded under Jimmy in comparison to Ramsay and Redknapp.
