Woah I've not for a second mentioned playing dull football or not trying to entertain. Anyone who knows anything about my views on that knows I don't believe in win at all costs. The 1-0 argument you brought in. My point was simply that you build from a solid defence. The problem is that this often gets mistaken for playing dull football or playing for 1-0's which isnt the case at all. Tbf perhaps that's what you were getting at with your earlier post and I missed it bcos I was only interested in the clean sheet.

For me, the best sides have entertained but always built from a solid defence, whether that's Barca over the last 10 years or United or Arsenal in their pomp. There's absolutely no getting away from that. And all play (or played) entertaining football. But if your approach is simply "we'll outscore you" then you'll always lack consistency and in comparison achieve less success.

 

Looking at the match report and there were no yellow cards in Everton v Arsenal?

Arsenal makes sense since they had the game won after 7 minutes but that looks pathetic from Everton.

Haven't seen the game though.

TBF Arsenal were playing some lovely football at times.

The first goal was a great team goal.

The second was a good counter although you'd have to question the Everton defender for committing and missing near the halfway line.
