Man C.were on the beach last week as well. Well there will be some gloom mongers who will spout such rubbish when we survive. Two successive clean sheets. Timm Klose?

Apparently, and correct me if mistaken, but Norwich still haven't lost this season...when they've scored first. So, a bit more of that and we'll be home and hosed <ok>

    PHEW!

I finally feel capable of rating the players:

Ruddy - 7: looked shaky in the first fifteen, but settled and dealt well with crosses
Martin - 6: struggled with Brom's wide men and couldn't get much going with Jarvis
Klose - 9: if I had a pound for every "cleared by Klose". Nuff said IMO
Bassong - 6: struggled against in form Rondon and looked like he hadn't played in a few matches, but strengthened into the game with a goal saving tackle at the death
Olsson - 8: a different player to the first half of the season. Dangerous going forward and excellent delivery
Brady - 7: much like Bassong, looked out of sorts, but really grew into the game, an excellent finish. Unfortunately game ended by a nasty landing. Let's hope he's ok.
O'Neil - 8: everywhere. An excellent performance marred only by a truly shocking pass to Sessegnon which reminded everyone we are still Norwich
Howson - 8: quietly excellent. What more can I say
Jarvis - 6: sweated a lot, but never quite seemed to have a clue, but his slightly baffling decisions seemed to be increasingly effective, culminating in his (assist?!) airshot handing Brady a clear shot at goal
Mbokani - 8: back to his imperious best, once he found his touch with Bamford. A great performance from him - on form he has a deft touch, is an attacking threat and brings other players into the game brilliantly
Bamford - 7: sweated hard too and desperate to find a goal, his energy and movement opened up lots of space, but never quite looked like scoring. Nevertheless looks like he could be key to the run in if he breaks his duck

    Subs:
Ofoe - 7: looked lively and worked hard in defence. Slightly surprised he hasn't featured more, but with our injuries it's good to see he is still keen
Naismith - 6: didn't do much, and still looks slightly uncaring to me, but nearly set Howson up for a goal and while he hasn't yet justified his price tag, he does look a cut above in quality IMO
Pinto - 6: normally I wouldn't rate a sub for a two minute cameo, but he looked dangerous on the right wing and with Jarvis looking slightly out of sorts is like to see what Pinto can do there because he is clearly decent going forward

    MOTM - clearly Klose.

Manager rating - 7. Neil has repeatedly demonstrated that the players still believe in him. Yet again he frustratingly tinkered with the line up, but his tactics were astute and brought the best out of Bamford and Mbokani without forgoing the defensive improvement we have seen since the Chelsea game. Finally got deserved reward, though. It has to be said I think West Brom were there for the taking, and the point that their season is over (or the "beach" argument) is still valid, but no game in the PL is easy, especially away. And we did it I a hostile away environment with a referee who was frankly abysmal.

Excellent all round - onwards and upwards!

    Let me know thoughts <ok>

Fair assessment Rob and after all the initial hype surrounding Naismith, he looks to have got himself a bit lost on the pitch. Been very disappointing for a number of games now.

Yep. Like Mbokani, he appears to be a bit of a flat track bully in that he performs well when the rest of the team is playing well, but he's not going to grab others by the scruff of the neck and drag us to safety. It's a shame, because I had thought his experience and work rate made him that sort of player. Instead, we have Klose starting to show that's the sort of guy he is, and we know that both Bassong and Howson have that ability too. I just hope that this is a catalyst for some improved results, and on the back of that Naismith helps make us comfortable and shows a bit more desire, if that's the sort of player he is. Otherwise (and if we get relegated) I have severe reservations about him now.
