I take your point. But:- The People tend to speak. I suspect that in the days when Rugby League in the city was bigger than Football (& I remember it as well) it got bigger crowds because of its own success. Not at the expense of Hull City. Had Hull City also been successful they too would have got bigger crowds. I don't subscribe to the "either/or" view that people choose one or the other. If yoy think back to the 80's both Hull & Rovers got big crowds - because they were both successful. By your "either/or" theory the most successful of the teams should have got the crowds, but in fact we all know that if you are a Rovers supporter that is for life , same as being an "FC" supporter. If they are successful people go, if they are not people don't go. What people don't do is swap from one to the other.

1981 Hull City played Hartlepool in front of 1621 people. Why the poor crowd? Because they were both ****e.

1981 Hull KR lost 18:9 to Widnes in front of 94,496 people. Why? Because they were both good.

Now, things have changed, and the Tigers are entertaining again (Hartlepool are still ****e). However, do you really think many of the 94,496 are switching allegience? Nah, in my opinion they'll watch both if they're good, and neither if they're ****e (check out Hartlepools current crowds).

My guess is that as both teams improve their crowds will both improve. But nobody will swap from Rovers to Hull FC just because they're winning (or vice versa). However many KR fans and many FC fans will come and watch City as they climb the table - as well as still watching the RL.

Lets re-convene at the end of the seaon and check it out! Bet you all three clubs crowds are directly proportional to their position in their tables.

There is no way we would lose fans to the egg-chasers, just won't happen, football is the big game whether rugby league fans like it or not, and gets the mainstream coverage.

WHAT UTTER CR AP. Why should he or would he ? Hull Fc runs itself and he has foot solders to do the day to day.

    Silly thread. IMO.

THERE IS NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST AT ALL. IF YOU FORGET THE DIEHARDS, JUST FOCUS ON THE FLOATERS THEN.

HULL CITY IN THE PL and HULL FC TOP OF SUPER LEAGUE ? Who would get bigger gates ? Simple Hull City.

    END OF THIS STUPID THREAD.

I am surprised AP stayed a month. Working with Duffen would be akin to working alongside a serial killer.

WELL SAID. He keeps same office and has James Rule close at hand. Easy peazy lemon squeezy. So what will Adam P
do with his spare time then ? With Hull City almost sorted out and Hull FC not exactly a full time job ? maybe he will
take on HKR or the Hull Stingrays Ice Hockey clubs as well.

By owning all 4 of the pro teams in Hull the Allams & Adam P. can re-locate them all to the New Sports Village.

Who needs Michael Fish when we have Mr French Tickler, who has now blessed us with his considered opinion.
He is the fountain of all Hull City Knowledge.

Here is another idea. We expand the stadium to 50,000, build a retractable roof, put grass on the roof and rugby posts at each end.

Everyone down below watching the football, will also be able to watch the rugby being played on the roof, assuming both Hull City and Hull FC play at the same time, which should significantly reduce operating costs.

Therefore both clubs will be able to claim that they have many more fans than they do, which could then attract more sponsorship, and also it shouldn't ever be cold, or get wet or have the sun shining in our eyes when at the KC.

Also, the Hull KR players could perhaps start serving the drinks and food, which should improve the standard of English spoken when ordering a pie.

Good for you Mr Tickler.............good for you.

When Jimmy Bullard is sacked and Ayala signs for the mighty tigers I will make sure I come back and thank you for your insight.

As for being on my own with my opinion on this thread, it's something I have got used to. All part of the fun.

Why is there so much anti Adam Pearson drivel on here yet no mention of Mark Maguire, who comes across as a bit of a tosser.

This place is heaving with megatards.

Adam Pearson will go when he is ready to go, not because someone thinks its his time to go. He has taken on a new challenge but if he has the ability to divide his time between us and FC then okay, long may he continue. But if there is a time when dealing with both begins to affect his work for us or them, then he has to choose which means more to him and concentrate on one, but until then he stays

So, that goes for any concert arranged at the KC does it, or any new night club opening up eh.

AP is a good influence at the moment; ok he's cautious (and doen't always get things right) but we are better off with him.

By the way, is there something you know and not telling????
