We will offer you 50P for Maynard and even take Nicky Hunt off you and stick him in our reserves as i know you as desperate to get rid of him

I dont think we want Waghorn? He seems to be included in all the talk but Stead and Pitman is a near dream partnership, only bettered by Stead and Maynard. Pimtan scored 13 league goals last season from the bench, give him the number 9 and let him play up top every week and he may out score Maynard anyway.

We want all cash!!! Waghorn sounds like he is done as a LCFC player, Sven clearly has no interest in him, and for that reason I would say he was worth less than a million quid. If someone was to try and buy him now they wouldnt offer that for a lad coming off the back of a bad season, who's manager doesnt want him.

If LCFC were going to chuck a player in they should make it a defender as thats where we are desperate, we have two good strikers, one reasonable one, and an exciting prospect after Mayanrd. What would we do with "Waggy".

Though I think you would actually strenthen your chances if you offerd to take Hunt. BCFC may turn down £5m for Maynard, but £5m for Maynard and Hunt is a nice little sweetener.

Another think we could do is offer Waghorn to Hull for 1.5M and try and rush the deal through and then use that 1.5M on the Maynard if we need to. It would be the same to use but maybe more attractive to Bristol

If Pitman and Stead are the dream why are they so intent on keeping Maynard. So basically they are blocking their own dream

Has anyone realised since Stringer got loads of abuse about saying Nugent was signing then didnt he has stopped tweeting stuff. He used to be the first person to break a story now Rob Tanner and Hayley Gallagher are the best places for news and Stringer pipes up after the club have announced it themselves

lcfcinfoman has been pretty reliable so far as has fourth official. That first4lcfc is a load of bollocks, he just nicks info off other people and passes it as his own, cant believe some people actually think he knows people inside the club

Waggy is not worth 1.5 million as it stands at the moment. His stock is 750k-1 million.

You seem to have read what you liked and ignored what it said.

My point being that Stead is a great target man, with fantastic movement and effort, covers loads of ground and works his markers really hard, he has scored goals in the premiership and scored some great goals for us last year. If he can stay fit he will lead the line well and is good for at least 10 goals.

Pitman was made to play on the wing to accomidate Maynard, and spent large chunks of the seaon on the bench, however when KM finally reasised that he is a number 9 and told him to get in the box he was fairly free scoring, notching 13 goals, the guy just takes chances.

I think Bristol City fans will be content to see Stead and Pitman as our first choice strike partnership if we have to sell Maynard.

This shouldnt take away from the fact Maynard is clearly number one choice for us. The fella combines a hint of Owen in the day, and Zola like magic. Maynard is a genuinly special talant capable of winning a game with a clever moment of brilliance regaurdless of what the rest of the team is doing.

Thats why your willing to pay for him and we think he is worth a boat load of cash, if your getting dominated and you cant make a chance you need someone to pull a goal out of nothing. Maynard can do that, Pitman and Stead are good strikers but they wont conjour a goal out of thier ass, Nicky doesnt need a chance to score.

With what Lummie says, this is why i think our "final offer" will fail :emoticon-0106-cryin

Hopefully the rejection is made public sooner rather than later.

I dont think it will be the final offer i think we are saying this because if Bristol know we will come back with a bigger bid if they reject it they will never accepted the offer because they know a better one is just around the corner

Agreed! I really think sven will not have only the one target either - he is an experienced manager and Top is obviously a shrewd business man. They will certainly have a plan b (and probably plans c & d too) in case this doesn't happen. Given the amount of time that this has dragged on for, I suspect this deal will happen though - or he would have moved on already....in Sven we trust!

Just a shame he won't be here for the Madrid game - I'm really quite excited about seeing this match :)

I dont think Waghorn or any "replacment" striker will help sweeten the deal.

LCFC will have to come with cash, lots of it, and I will be stunned if the final bid doesnt come in on deadline day after Maynard has scored goals for us in the first few games.

I personally cant believe we are not accepting any of these offers, £5m seems like plenty, we are leaving ourselves no time to spend the windfall when it comes, I can only assume the Mighty Reds are pretty sure NM will take the improved deal.

This has gone on far too long. We need a proven goalscorer before the season starts and IMO this should have already been done.
