Yet again, you show all the refereeing know how of a snail. Those are so difficult to call. You're not sure if there's contact or a dive so the referee gives nothing.

So, would you advise him to stay on his feet then?

I don't advise anything. I've got to judge on what I see and by staying on your feet when clipped it adds doubt into the referee's mind if he was clipped at all.

Wheras you think referees should see everything that happens on a football pitch. You look at slow motion replays referees have one look at full speed.

If common sense means unrealistic perfection then fine.

I saw it as 2 seperate incidents:

    1) Sanchez was clipped, but not so strong that it would definitely bring him down. Hence he stayed up. Technically a foul but easily missed.

    2) Sanchez realises he's not going to get to the ball, so goes down. This fall is not caused by the intial clip, but is instead a response to not getting tothe ball. This 2nd part is the dive.

So for me if the ref does NOT give pen for number 1, he should be giving dive for number 2.

Yep and that post highlights why it was such a difficult call. Giving nothing was understandable.

For the penalty incident Funes Mori completely takes Sanchez out as Sanchez starts to down from the previous challenge

I can't believe Ospina is still on the pitch, he can hardly walk.

Fresh legs for Arsenal as well. Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck depart (the former hobbling after getting clipped by John Stones), with Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gobbs coming on. 15 minutes to go.

    Clattenburg missed a few things.

What were the Everton fans singing at the end? "............. get out of our club?" I couldn't hear who.

    Edit: was Arsenal fans.

Snails are good referees; they just struggle to keep up with play.

By the sounds of goal the fortune is all theirs at the moment.
Is it written in the stars?
