**** yes! Couldn't stand GJ so ****ing lazy just went through the motions with us, he's been very good at Stoke which goes to show he can play if he wants to.

According to the many respected pundits we're shoe-in for victory. Tomorrow feels nothing more than a coronation of their expert opinions

Sturridge has been a thorn in our behinds over the last few seasons and I was disappointed to see him substituted from the game in good health Thursday night. This is pivotal game for both our seasons.

I think we can kiss goodbye our hopes of a Europa league place with anything but victory and Liverpool will be out of Top 4 contention with defeat.

I don't know what to expect, but I think it will be a close game.

Think we should play 4 at the back to give us a chance in the midfield battle.

A fan of the fantasy genre are we?!

    It could go either way.

    Tough to predict.

Liverpool looked worrying good the other night. We'll need to be rock solid at the back to stand a chance of getting anything out of this game. Which for me means three CBs, taking the defensive pressure off Cedric/Martina. I see no reason why that means getting overrun in midfield, not with the options we have there. Maybe Vic, JWP and Davis. Pelle and Long up top, Mane on the bench. And Austin if he's fit.

Forster will need to be bang on his game.

Edit: I missed out Classsie. Again. See how many options we have in midfield? I'm defo playing JWP though; one of his free kicks finally goes in tomorrow.

Charlie won't be ready until after the international break.

Need to be rock solid at the back, but Liverpool tend to play 2 centre mids so if Adam Phil and Rob get lazy we could overrun them. Gegenpressing vs our own style to not go full throttle but still press.

Without a doubt it's our forwards that need to be on form if we are to win this.

Really is a pivotal game for us, a win will keep Liverpool at bay, but we could also overtake United if they lose away to City?
Hope we really get at them early on, they don't like it up em.

He should be back just in time for our traditional losing streak then.

I'll be there from around 12.30 I hope. Depending on how flaming cold it is, I may be sat outside or huddled in the bar with the other 20,000 fans ...... :emoticon-0100-smile

You pay your players far too much. They lose ambition. Remember it is difficult to get up from silk sheets in the morning.

We succeed with relatively unknown players because they are hungry for money and success. They then move on and the hunger and drive is knocked right out of them. We have had some great talent over the years only for other managers to wreck them. If Theo, Alex and Calum had stayed with us they would have been great footballers not become the also ran bit part players they have become at Wenger's Arsenal. The greatest crime in the history of football is what the Mancs have done to Morgan. People used to say you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear well Manchester United have done the reverse with Morgan. Great player to mediocrity in one mistaken signing. I bet he lies in bed at night regretting every moment he has been at Manchester United. The only consolation is his bank balance but I have been there and in the end even that doesn't take away the disappointment.

That's why I'm more of a fan of players like Lucas and Flanagan and in the past Carra, Hyypia, players who play for the shirt. Your comment can be aimed at any club though it's something in football that needs to be changed.

Supporters can always spot the players playing for the shirt and those just playing for the dosh, that's why its great to see the nippers breaking through into first team action.
All fans yearn for big money signings, but its very rare for Bertie Big Bollox to do the business consistently on the pitch?

Not convinced we're in good form. We're in consistently inconsistent form. As are you lot (although I think you're playing better football than we are at the moment). Kinda depends which version of each team turns up.

Agreed, we can be terrible at the back and you'll have some joy if we are, I think we'll score it's a matter of if we can stop you from doing the same.
