Well they've done a grand job of that.

I bet the work will be rolling in now.

You yourself posted about all the deals the Premier League clubs have for kids, are they all being conned too or do they have a proper enforcement system?

Just got in from work, maybe jumped in too quickly....I was disputing the fact that OLM (quoting the club) said that "loads" of people were abusing the concession system. Apologies if not responded to the right thread, busy stacking the fridge with orange Bulmers for the match tonight. 99p from B&M, now thats a great price, and I never had to join a membership scheme

I don't even get why they were involved. My initial understanding was that they were just helping the club present the idea, but it now seems the whole idea is theirs. Apart from having a City fan at the top, I don't get what the hell Strawberry have got to do with football ticketing schemes.

No it's OK I think I confused things. I also think this 15 to 20% cheating the system is just another number pulled out of thin air.

My point is that all the other clubs manage to have different prices for kids, adults and OAP's as you showed with your post wherever it is. Are all those clubs being robbed or do they have a control system.

I really don't mind if they want to set one price for a seat! The price should be an average of the pass revenue divided by the amount of pass holders! No arguments about people sneaking in with the wrong pass then! Or is that too simple?

If he's a mere fan, he will have no more insight than thee and me.
If he's an MD he may be pitching for business with rEhab, by convincing him that the club needs a new gimmicky scheme to impress the gullible, because Strawberry are desperate for business.

Surely rEhab now must feel like distancing himself from this badly-received scheme (based on fans' negative reactions to it) that was not his own.
As a customer, he must also be unhappy with the fiasco of its rolling-out to its target audience: it dribbled out prematurely and messily. You don't pay good money for that.

An obviously hypothetical question relating to that.

Ignoring the issue of concessions, and assuming the ground was pretty much as is, with the more sedate in the west, families in the south etc. and every seat in the stadium was exactly the same price, ie the seats in the west were the same price as those in the north, would there be many people move?

Having a situation where he could leak a fragment of an on going situation was as wrong as him leaking it.

I can only speak for myself! I sit in the west & I've been there a long time! I had NO reason to move until now! I didn't mind paying more to sit in the west with my family of 4! But now it's 2k.

A good question. I always like to be where the atmosphere is (was?).
Be that the old South Stand Terrace, then Kempton, then E1-E3 then the North Stand.
So for me the determining factor was to be with people of a similar disposition, i.e. beered up and singing.

Perhaps one for the Huddersfield Town board, they can sit wherever they want in the stadium now for a fixed price of £179 an adult.

It's like the scene in Auf Wedersehen Pet when the bloke in the pub complains that Barry is sitting on his stool, so Oz ask if he brings the stool from his house, that's a bit like some of our fans, even more so at away games, as though they bought the seat from DFS and installed it themselves in the stadium.

I don't agree with the new scheme but Christ some fans are being pathetic about having to move seats, there are no bad views at the KC you're there to watch a game of football, it's not like any of the people we have sat next to for last 10 years are our friends who we would invite for tea, I don't even know the blokes name who I sit next to, but I talk to him every game.

The views do differ! If you're behind the goal you don't get the best view of the other goal! If you're used to sitting down the middle i can understand them being pissed off having to move! it's deffo the best view!

The membership scheme will only work if we are in the Premier League and there is more demand for seats than supply. If we remain in the Championship for any length of time I could save £69 a year on my membership by giving one month's notice in April and joining again in August, plus any increases.

A family of 4 could save £216 in Zone 2 doing the same thing. The only way to avoid that is by offering additional benefits that are worth more than the savings. The club could end up taking a financial hit in June and July at the same time as paying the players' wages.

If we remain in the championship the only way to make demand keep pace with supply would be to cut the number of seats available and close more blocks.

So the only thing stopping you give notice in April and rejoining the scheme in August is the potential of losing the seat to somebody else?

I think so. This season is a bit of a risk because of the number of evictions. 1,700 from upper west, plus young people over 16 and adults without any under 16s to accompany from S1 to S7. Non concessions, ie those paying adult prices and do not accompany an child or young person, from E10, E11, N2 and N5. That's a lot of evictions.
