Point being Monk did well in his own right. He just struggles with the transfer window. Bring him or Sherwood in on a short term contract and then re-assess in the summer.

I blame Bruce for not playing Maguire, I blame Bruce for not using the 352 formation more this season which has clearly paid dividends in the past, and would have enabled Harry to get some game time. I blame Bruce for us having severely limited striking options therefore heaping pressure on the team to keep a clean sheet in every match. I blame you for ignoring the bigger picture and attempting to make Dawson the scapegoat for last nights loss.

 

What I'm saying is we can't keep having this Bruce out debate! If elmo had slotted we wouldn't be having it! It's a game! And sometimes things go against us! Like I've said many times before, we wouldn't be talking about daws, Harry & ALL the rest because they wouldn't be playing for city if it wasn't for Bruce! That's the pressure he puts on himself because he can attract good players! But he has 20,000 other managers in the crowd all picking a different formation & jump on this thread when we lose away to a half decent side! Everyone says this every bloody game we lose, from last season's Europa qualifier right down to Elmo's offside goal against United. There's a point where you stop shrugging your shoulders about things going against you and get to the root of the issue.

 

Also that's rubbish that another manager couldn't get decent players. Bruce isn't a God.

He was sacked because he refused to work with a Football Director, and it was still considered one of the strangest and harshest sackings. Especially when you consider who they replaced him with.

 

The players were fine, it was the tactics they were expected to play to that were rubbish.
