Lots of good news today. Hall is fit again, back earlier than expected and is fit for PME, but Konch still injured (hip). Eusebio scored twice in a minute for us 7 minutes after coming on as a sub for the U21's. His goals turned a 0 -1 scoreline into a 2-1 win over N.Korea. In the same game Robinson played over an hour, Traore the full 90, and Cox shone a bit too.
Sorry if I've missed something but who's Eusabio? I'm guessing he's not the Portugese genius from the 50's/60's
Eusabio is the Wolves cast off we are giving a trial to....having said that he scored two good goals for the development squad...to give them a good win...
Of course there is no reason why someone else's cast off shouldn't come our way and become good in the same way that some of ours have - Delaney, Puncheon, Simpson (he was half good anyway), Zarate, Dexter etc. Having said, I can't recall the last time it worked in our favour!
In at least the last 4 or so years, the environment hasn't exactly been conducive for that to happen. Over-paid has-beens with huge reputations, with young emerging talent, looking for a break, doesn't fit side-by-side. Also, we now have a Manager that has limited cash resources, and needs to find that young emerging talent, to enable him stand out as achieving, or spend a little extra where it is needed.
We're getting Pele (Slough Mogadon), Maradona (Seaham Harbour Depressives), Cruyff (Boston Lincs Flatearthers) and Beckenbauer (Saffron Walden Arthritic) next.
