I doubt Cellino takes much notice. Cellino seems to be the type where, if you go up against him, he'll dig his heels in. Going to be interesting to see what these few fans say if we keep extending this unbeaten run.
I agree Eire, there's information in that debate/interview that can put a lot of false accusations to bed and/or, open some fans eyes, but not everyone will see the light unfortunately, they'll still be blinded by their obsessive hatred for Cellino. GFH are our biggest stumbling block and hurdle, I think Cellino is treating them with caution, craftniness, and cunning.
Firstly, I admit to not listening to the article, I saw it had a run time of over an hour and couldn't be bothered... If it had been an interview of people that mattered, I might have listened, if it was an article involving the man himself Cellino or Salerno or even Pearson I might have had a listen but it didn't. This is two journalists discussing THEIR views so their views are as reliable as anything else that is written good or bad, pro or anti Cellino, it proves nothing one way or the other EDIT - Decided to have a listen, I am at 30 minutes into it (skipping out travel, news and non Leeds discussion chat) and I can't see what false accusation or rumour that it puts to bed, would you please share and advise how far in you have to listen to reach it?? Insolvency expert is now speaking, saying the board have "done reasonably well" we have converted loans to shares and consolidated other loans to reduce interest. We received 9.8m so far for Ross and it was used to balance the sheet, we would have had an operating loss of nearly £12m if we hadn't sold him. He also said all sources of income are down. Lots of uncertainty about what is or is not owed to GFH both debating what they "think" has happened but they are unsure. EDIT - Skipped forward to 48 minutes and discussing the many legal issues and costs, If we lose against Macron £5m, if we lose against Enterprise EXPENSIVE, employment tribunals, all of this is down to Cellino and the decisions he has made since being in charge. LeedsLover I really can't find anything to warrant your comment??
In regards to Cellino? I think his track record speaks for itself. I don't see him ever changing. If he acted the way he did at Cagliari for 20 years, his supposed boyhood club, what makes any think he will suddenly change his ways here? He has already kept up his record of sacking managers left right and centre, we have court cases galore and he has acted appallingly regarding tickets and the South Stand debacle. He treats people like dirt and bad mouths all and sundry, he is a loose cannon. Lets not even go in to the buy back for Elland Road, he has repeatedly lied about that. I want this club to succeed, whether it be with Massimo or not. But the way things are, and lets not let 3 wins in a row cloud our judgement, we have been very poor this season and I don't see much changing at the moment.
Ive listened to it in detail Ristac and it explains very clearly, the mess caused at the club by previous admins and the ongoing cost of fixing it. Like him or not, no one else was willing to step in at the time and try sorting the mess. It also clearly explains what faces a prospective buyer, and why, despite what some would like to believe, there is nobody willing to stump up the necessary cash. Were going nowhere fast as long as GFH have a stranglehold on the club. It also explains why an operating loss every season is not that serious as long as Cellino is willing to service it. Of course, the approach of a minority, is to hold their matchday protests without taking any of the above points into account. They clearly believe their way will encourage foreign billionaires or could it be a stunt mainly stage by the Leeds Fans United lot? Surely not
Have a listen to the above and see what alternative options you might think we'll find to buy the club
I listened to the majority of it, I accept that the alternative is going to have to be a very rich person, I still can't find anything about putting 'false accusations' to bed but maybe that is aimed at someone on here who has in LeedsLovers eyes made them? 1) Legal disputes with Macron and Enterprise 2) Legal disputes for unfair dismissal 3) Balancing books by Selling Ross Those things are solely down to Cellino. They made it clear nobody knows the arrangement made between GFH and Cellino, none of us want GFH here, we know they are no good for the club but it is easy for Cellino supporters to point the finger at them for our woes. Bottom line is between GFH and Cellino we have a rotten bunch in charge, they are equally as bad for us but sadly we seem to be stuck with them. Stupid thing is, we pay £1.4m a year on rent, it goes up 2% above base rate every year, that 9.8m for Ross would have been well spent if it had been used to buy the ground as initially promised.
I still await the knight in shining armour with hundreds of millions to throw away. Maybe the Leeds bunch with their 500k in the bank will be the answer
I'm putting all my winnings on black , spin the wheel . 4th straight win for Leeds ... 2-1 .... And the revival continues . P.S. To much green beer yesterday got me feeling a bit green around the gills ....good luck .
Afternoon LL. To answer your question. I don't trust Cellino as far as I can spit, but I'm a fickle football fan so if we were on an unbeaten run and sitting in the auto places I wouldn't give a **** if Vladimir Putin was our owner, Jihadi John head of recruitment and Adam Johnson in charge of youth development
Is it a blind following ? listened to an interview and came to his own conclusions. What about you have you listened to it all or does a blind hate of Cellino stop you from doing so.I've seen the 80 or so Cellino haters and notice there's not a Leeds badge, scarf, hat or top between them, are they actually Leeds fans, serious question ? could quite easy be paid protesters because for sure haven't seen any serious support for them.
You've got a point there, Chesh. I hadn't realised that I never noticed anything to suggest they were genuine supporters. Wonder if they're paid grunts to try to use the campaign to get the purchase price of the club down? Wouldn't surprise me.
More likely they're lined to the supporters group that were trying to buy in with their 500k. Because theyve no money, probably believe Cellino will feck off and give them the club for nothing
