There's a golden rule in the consultancy business. "Talk to the owners. They'll tell you what they want, deliver that & you'll be hired again".
A good salesman finds out what someone wants and offers them a way of getting it. I guess the Allams have left the sales in their generator business to others.
You've got to question Strawberry's business acumen in all of this too. I can't see anyone looking at this dashing over to use them. They're not coming out of it looking very good at all so far.
Point being you will be tret like dirt anyway, pay or no pay, attend or not - he doesn't care. But a lot of people are rattling real bad cos they're missing their fix, thinking they're getting one over him. But he is utterly oblivious and doesn't care if you attend or not. But most people care like hell that they can't attend and suffer far more than he does with the economic boycott they're imposing on him. It's a drop in the ocean to him. Just sayin like- not making any judgements/criticisms on anyone's choices.
Promotion is the massive 'Get out of Jail' card for this new scheme. With the millions available next season the club have the excuse to put it on the backburner and pretend it never happened.
Do we know what the earn your stripes stuff is yet? Dearer first year, first stripe. Reduced 2nd year, 2nd stripe. Reduced 3rd year third stripe? As long as you keep it going?? Do we have stats on how many concession season passholders there are? I would imagine there are more over 65's than kids?
As far as I'm aware, one stripe is for single games and bundles, two stripes is a home season pass and three stripes is a home and away pass. 42% of pass-holders are currently concessions, but I've no idea how that breaks down into the different categories.
Christ 42%!!! I suppose the OAP's have more chance of affording it (not getting into a row, no offence) but if its say 21% young uns. Thats a high price for parents or grand parents to pay. Disastrous. I thought it was going to be a reduced price year on year for loyalty. Sorry didnt know that was what the stripes are.
So 20% concessions, real ones, then say 10% are kids. They must just think **** em then, the oaps will pay and we'll maybe get 5% of parents pay for the kids the rest is just wastage... I'm not doing anymore maths its giving me bad memories of school... I've just set fire to the table
What is that claim based on? The only support I've seen for that was some nonsense claiming the club used CCTV.
If they know that why didn't they do something about it instead of punishing all the people who want to take their kids to Hull City for a reasonable price ?
There's some on the fiddle, but I've no idea how many, the club have come up with 15% of them, but I don't really know how. I know they've had a lot of complaints from adult pass-holders, about people bragging that they only pay for kids passes, at least they say they have.
If that's the case then loyalty doesn't come into the reckoning, it is all about volume, the more you can afford travel and away games (and fit them in), the more benefit on all of your attendances. Granted, it's certainly different, the bairns are paying for the owners highly origional ASI fund. Did bairns subsidise Green Shield Stamps? They are wonderfully adept at manipulating every sector of the community.
They're just the three levels of membership, the loyalty rewards you get on each card is a different thing, at least I think it is, we really need to see next weeks announcement to find out exactly what's going on.
Yep, they say what they want. Great word, much used today and very fitting; bollocks, lots of them, that's the owners for you.
How does a creative design studio whose work is focussed on the visual/corporate identity/branding/logos etc get to be the brains behind a football club's ticket pricing policy? Answer: It doesn't because they have no expertise or experience in it. What they do have is expertise and experience in presenting it/ showcasing it and general visual media savvy. But to suggest an agency of this type is 'behind' the new bollocks is just plain daft- they do the packaging, not the contents.
