Middlesbrough eye Newcastle United striker Xisco

I notice there is no Middlesbrough fans on the Middlesbrough forum in the Championship area. Have they all given up and supported Sunderland or Newcastle now?

 

I say give him a chance.

Not really rated him though and has never seemed to justify his price tag BUT we haven't exactly gifted him chances have we? especially with the reports that if he plays consistent games(10 games in a row) we'll have to pay money to Depor for add-ons?

Awful deal in general tbh, 5.7m gone to waste! he hasn't even repaid half of that!

Shocking to say the least, hopefully Boro will do him some good, get regular starts, boost his confidence, HOPEFULLY come back a better & overall stronger player who can compete with the likes of Best/Lover and Shola to partner Carroll or atleast be involved with the squad in a more regular basis.. he'll have to take a pay-cut aswell!

Good luck to him, MIGHT come back a totally different player(ala Best.. but with a bit more consistency).

 

I was just about to post a thread explaining why Xisco is our worst signing ever.

After doing some research as to some previous 'bad' signings- i discovered Michael Owen cost the club around 40 million.

Spanish striker Xisco, who cost Newcastle £5.7m in 2008, woke up to headlines linking him with a move to Championship strugglers Middlesbrough.

But Pardew said: “I’ve not heard any news on Xisco, I was surprised to hear the story.

“There has been no contact with Middlesbrough at all.

“We have contacted a number of Spanish teams to see if they are interested.

“He’s a lovely lad and popular with players here. He’s lost his way a bit.

“I’ve sat down and told him that if nothing comes out in the transfer window this time, he will stay and we will try to get him back on the scene again.

“We’ll work with him. Sometimes it’s not about the attitude of the player, it’s about the attitude of the club as well, and we’ll work him.

“If he’s prepared to change things a bit, I’m prepared to as well."

 

There was never any to begin with

 

Good opportunity this in my opinion, we can loan him to them for the rest of the season... then if hes any good we can take him back and tell them to **** off.

 

Xisco deserves a chance, seeming that Carroll is out.

 

I keep saying he needs a chance just a shame about his clause in his contract :/

 

I wonder if that clause thing is true, what is it 10 games and we owe a million or something?

I wanna see him get some minutes, he might surprise us!

 

App more he plays more we pay him or the club we got him from.

 

I really do hope Xisco gets his chance here... 1 goal, 1 assist (and a beautiful one too) in 4 games or something? We paid the money, lets give him the chance!
