England Squad...

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Super G Ted'inho, Mar 17, 2016.

  1. Playing second rate nations where we have them penned in its one thing but when we play the likes of Germany, Spain, Italy, etc (aka games were more likely to face come the summer) Vardy would be a superb asset.

Will Studge be able to play every three or four days?

Fair point on Sterling. We also have Walcott.

I'd like to start one of Walcott or Oxo on the other side but Walcott hasn't been playing and Oxo injured. Teams need pace on the flanks and players able to float between lines and move wide when needed. England are quite disjointed with only Sterling.

Don't think he will... but we all know there's only one striker slot available beside Rooney for the actual tournament.

Just not sold yet on Vardy.... his pressing could be an asset but it would need to be part of a system. Can't have one player running after things. Would opt for the others ahead of him based on their ability to retain possession. But with his confidence if he was to get a chance... it is a tough call.

  3. I'd have Studge, Vardy AND Kane in the team if all fighting fit. Kane in middle. Rooney on the bench at best.

Alli, Barkley and a holding player; I'd go with Noble but he's not been selected.

    BUTLAND
    CLYNE - SMALLING - CAHILL - GIBBS
    ALLI - NOBLE - BARKLEY
    STUDGE - KANE - VARDY

I'd have Studge sitting nice and safe at home.

(His home, not mine-in case you were wondering.... )
