  3. Welbeck and Studge have both just returned from injury and done nothing to warrant a call up. Hendo too.

They both get goals whenever they play though, it's worth having them as impact subs, better than the days of Eriksson when Emile Heskey was guaranteed a place no matter how **** he was playing for his club.

  5. Studge shouldn't be there at all. He's still recovering from injury, something England have massively contributed to over the years.

I think the idea will be to see if Sturridge and Wellbeck look any good. It's an audition. I doubt they'd be called up at this point if it was for the final squad.

How has Theo Walcott had a call up but not Jesse Lingard?

    Ward-Prowse continues to be overlooked.

Trippier is better than Walker, Danny Simpson has surely earned a call up for a couple of friendlies.

I think his selection looks awful and his first 11 to start will be an assembly of his favourite dickheads once again no doubt, the only positive I can see is that he's not picked that tramp Baines.

The squad doesn't suck but it wouldn't have a hope of winning the Euros. Defenders are the problem. Smalling has developed well this season. But lets face it he wouldn't get in many international sides except ours. He is the best of that bunch. Cahill has been awful. Jagielka has hardly played. Stones is part of a defence that leaks for fun and while he looks nice on the ball, he is way off the finished article. Full back wise we look good. I like all 4. All modern full backs and Walker/Rose have improved no end under Pochettino. We still have the holding midfield issue to sort but I do like Dier.

I'm not sure how Sturridge, Walcott and Welbeck make the squad?

Smalling's been the best centre half consistently in the league this season, in an ever changing back four his performances have been outstanding.

Walcott is a pathetic choice, I've no idea why he's picked him, he's a shocking player, we're all waiting for him to turn into this world class wing-strike wizard that he'll never be, he's a choker and he's built of *** ash.

James Milner? Henderson? Over ****ing Noble? What is Hodgson smoking?

Fair enough on Vardy, Alli and Drinkwater, but there's still too much same old ****e in there, so I won't be watching or caring.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. A bit of a fresh look. Always thought Smalling was shocking but this season easily puts him in the England starting line up. He has done well. CB is a problem position for us though. Full backs look good. Rose and Walker are causing a big problem together for teams in the prem.

Milner for me is just one of those players you have to take. He's not Mr headline but is a very handy player to have. Noble should of 100% got in over Henderson. Llalana has done nowt for his place either. Really pleased for Drinkwater. Great season.

    Dele Ali - should start.

Sturridge shouldn't have been picked really but if he is fully fit he should probably go to the Euros and we are running out of time.

Good job spurs are doing their bit for the national team or we would be in a sorry state!

The shirt though. What a shocker. Straight out of a bad 1980 sci fi flick that went straight to vhs.

Midfield is solid, but defence... no quality. Will get overrun by the likes of Spain and Germany, not a chance in hell, even France and Italy will tear those back boys a new one. State of Englands centre halves is shocking. Not a top class centre back in the entire country.

I didn't say it would win the euros but I think it won't embarrass us.

Defence is iffy so attack, attack, attack.

    Vardy - Kane

    Barkley

    Sterling - Alli

    Dier

    Bertrand Smalling ? Rose

    Hart

    Make for an entertaining game

Rose playing right back? Are you Sam Allardyce or Brendan Rogers? <laugh>

I think we'd all like a right back at right back.

    Shame Morgan opted for Jamaica.

I don't what you do at centre back. Maybe gamble on Stones upping his game. Such a shame about Phil Jones regression/lack of progress. He should have been starting to come into his peak years. Garbage these days.

I think he is in the same category as Keiron Dyer was - he was continually played in different positions week in week out and so never developed one key area.
