I just found this bet, which seems like it has some serious value in it. I'm not sure how you guys write your odds, so I'll do it simple. Hull City to win the league with 15 points head start. Odds: 19*your bet Surely this must be worth a punt? I reckon that we will fight for the top 6, and I feel pretty certain that the league will be even. We were 23 points behind QPR last season, but we started that season horribly bad. Surely 19*your bet has some good value? Bet 365. Edit: Nevermind. I misunderstood!
I think that is decent value aslong as one team doesnt run away with the league like many seem to think West Ham will. I have always been told never to bet on your own team.
I have never been a Carlisle fan? I was a Blacburn Rovers fan when i was a lot younger having lived in the North West then when i moved to Cumbria I decided to follow the team from where I was born, Hull City (well born in beverley westwood). Problem with the fact i dont live in hull and follow them?
Best odds on Hull City is 29/1 with an online betting company. But a 19 points head start is deffo worth a tenner.
http://www.bet365.com/home/FlashGen4/WebConsoleApp.asp? This handicap bet? Nope, doesn't look like I can cut and paste the actual bet. You will have to put up the full handicap list for people to have an opinion. 24 runners, all with an equal chance on the handicap, payout 18/1 This is quite a large margin (overround) To get full details you have to start by clicking in SOCCER, wtf. If this company sponsored or owned a football club that you detested, this could also put you off.
You can't copy links like that. But the one in which every team has 19*your money with different handicaps
It's NOT a 15 point headstart. It's a 15 point headstart over whichever team is described as scratch. You have to add the handicap to every team, and then they pay out for who's top of the league. Lets say it was like this: West Ham - scratch Leicester - 2 points Ipswich - 5 points Hull - 15 points If the real table was: West Ham 80 Leicester 77 Ipswich 77 Hull 66 The bookies would only pay out on Ipswich because the handicap table would be: Ipswich 82 Hull 81 West Ham 80 Leicester 79 The reason the odds are so good is that the whole point of the handicap is it gives every side an even chance of winning the league and still let the bookies make money (if the handicaps were right then a £1 bet should return £24, not the £19 or £20 that Febbos' is being offered). It's essentially a case of which manager you think will do the best with the resources available to them.
Watford are + 30 In short, Hull would have to be 16 points better than Watford to be above them on this handicap.
