Klopp on Allan Rodriguez: "I saw him in training and I thought ‘oh my God, what can we do to keep this boy here and bring him into the line-up?’ He’s 19 years old, an outstanding talent, a good player with a good attitude, everybody loves him, he’s a nice lad – so that’s really, really good. He’s a smart player Klopp added: "There is no chance in this moment here because he can’t get the permission to play here, so we have to send him out on loan. We sent him to Belgium and he did well, really well until now. We had no doubts about this, it was a good transfer for both sides. "Now for the first time he has got an invitation for the national U20 team, and that’s great. It’s really deserved because he’s an outstanding talent. Everybody has seen him, but it’s not too easy to have a lot of pictures of him because most of the time he has played in other countries. "We hope we can find a solution in the future because he will be a fixed part of the squad in the future, for sure. Now he uses this time to improve and the next step to the U20 national team of Brazil is a great story.” Sounds very positive.
I guess you may have done. I wonder if Klopp would pick him in our first 11 if he could. Apparently Allan likes to tackle hard!
It sounds like he would. The way Klopp's talked him up there he's our new Gerrard! I'll remain cautious though, wait and see
It's not age. It's something to do with appearances. International appearances I believe? Age may determine the requirement though. You wouldn't expect an 18yr old to have X number of full international caps
It's not easy get a work permit. There are a couple routes. First he doesnt qualify at all as he's not play a grade a category game for brail let alone 75% of games in last 2 years. Next is the appeal. This is usually the get out clause. A guy goes before an independent panel which takes the UK government agency out of it and it then comes down to can it be shown he is of sufficient quality. This panel can judge if a young player has shown the ability to meet the criteria in the future This is why Klopp has said about him getting in u20 squad. This is klopp highlighting potential in advance of any future hearing. The next way is to get residency in Europe which would take a few years in Belgium. The last way is to claim Portuguese descent and get a passport. He is a small guy so klopp must think he's pretty good to be singing his praises
From what I can work out, Allan would be brilliant as a deep midfielder who picks up the ball and starts attacks from deep with a lovely passing range. He hasn't half got a bite on him when he goes in to a tackle though!
Right chaps. I've heard from a couple lads second hand that someone ITK who's a regular at anfield is hot to trot that Arkadiusz Milik is someone that Klopp is after. why is this significant? 1. He's over 6 foot tall and as you know us german loving blue eyed blondes love tall players. (nearly 6 foot 3") 2. He was at leverkusen but got sold for all of 2mil to Ajax 3. Hes 22 so fits the model. 4. He's got 15 goals so far this year for ajax after 11 on loan there last year. thats better than 1 in 2 btw. (passes the benteke test) 5. He is polish so is the next lewandowski. 6. 22 games for poland alreadt, 10 goals internationally. 7. best of all. might only take 10mil to buy. ............................................................. I think our own milk needs to adopt this guy as his new derek asamoah love interest.
I read up to point three thinking he would be a CB! 1 in 2 in the Dutch league isn't great but then, he is only 22 too. PS...I won't be learning how to spell his name until he joins so until that happens; Ark Milk
Was a little surprised when he went to Ajax but they probably got him with a view to a big profit. Not sure what if anything it says about his talent. Don't know about that type of striker though. Personal preference is for the smaller, creative types.
I meant he's not guaranteed to be the new Lewandowski. It is only opinion that he could be that good. the reality is it is very unlikely.
