The team did okay tonight against the best side in the world. Yes we went out, but everybody was expecting that anyway. I wished we could have been more clinical because then we would have actually really given Barca a game tonight.

The trouble is fella, that you undermine your genuine criticism of your underachievement in the Prem, by slating EVERYTHING, including your team tonight. When you do that you paint yourself as a complete doom monger. You'd have some credibility if you kept focus on those games where you genuinely have fcked up (like the league) and accepted that in the CL, you gave it your all, played your best and couldn't do any more.

 

We did, but our lack of finishing and silly mistakes giving the ball away cost us. Overall, I think the team okay, but we have address those issues if we're ever going to be serious contenders in this competition.

Had you scored first, you may just have created a bit of self-doubt in Barca. Even at 1-1 had you finished those chances and gone 2-1 up, I have a feeling they would have got nervous and that's often how CL ties completely change.

 

IQ87's hysterical drama queen reaction to being beaten by Barca pretty much sums up what a ****, self entitled fan he is. The only way he's going to get what he demands from being a football fan is to start supporting Barca or Bayern.

 

We had great chance to go 2-1 when Welbeck was up against Macherano, but again he just wasn't clinical enough. Credit to the team for creating the chances and staying at it though. I just feel that if we'd had a top quality striker, then this could have had a very different outcome.

 

I will forever be disappointed that our plum manger sold Welbeck but young Danny is not and never will be a clinical goal scorer. He's got the same syndrome as Walcott in that he thinks he's an out and out striker. He definitely isn't.

 

I think that's harsh on Welbeck. He brough the ball down well and took Mascherano out. At that point he's there for the finish. But you can only credit Mascherano for getting back and putting in that last ditch block. The only other thing Welbeck could have done, is seen Mascherano coming and cut the other way again, but most top strikers given that situation would have likely done what Welbeck did.

 

lol, i am a true fan through and through, despite not even living in London for 2 years now, I have kept my season ticket year after year, and still plan to renew it this year.

So yeah, you can all **** off about questioning my loyalties, i'm just someone who wants his team to the best, not a loser who is happy with 4th.

 

I agree, much better as a LWF. We have some great options in the wide attacking positions, Welbeck, Sanchez, Walcott, Oxo, but we just do not have anybody who is ruthless in front of goal.

 

You have stated all the facts about 100+ times in the last 2 weeks, nothing has changed so you don't need to keep repeating them

One of our major issues this season, particular since the injuries hit in November (Christ that's a long time!) is that we've been so **** at converting chances and missing straight forward chances.

In the last few games and this game welbeck has been much better than our other strikers. He's looked sharp, given us energy and caused the defences problems but his finishing and composure is still poor unfortunately which means we aren't benefiting at all.

 

How the **** can I use it if I'm not there? My brother goes in my place, and the games nobody goes to, I put on Ticket Exchange. And yes, keeping it does make a true supporter, if I was just a glory hunter, I'd have canceled it by now and long time ago, not keep forking 1500 every year.

I did it use it once this year, when we kicked your asses 3-0, ;-).
