Surely if we want to help improve the atmosphere and the long term support of the club teenagers should be encouraged, not discouraged, into N3 and N4 ?
A lot of 20 and 21 year olds have more disposable income than their parents whose houses they live in. Why should they be subsidised? Agree with some OAPs having more disposable income. I have my state pension and firm's pension and no mortgage so have more disposable income than my sons have with rent to pay and kids to fork out for. However, not all pensioners are as fortunate. Don't know what the answer is to be honest. I am all for making it as cheap as possible for younger fans to get them hooked for the future. Another thing which has gone nowadays is gangs of mates aged 13, 14 or 15 all going on their own to games. Back in the sixties you would get them travelling on trains to away games as well.
I would have thought that the statements about everyone paying the prices quoted and there being no concessions would have been sufficient clues.
Whether thats societys changed, maybe? But I'd be in favour of some sort of Junior Kop for under 21's.
I'm nearer pensioner than teenager but I'm baffled why in this major shake up more hasn't been done for teenagers, surely they're critical to improving the atmosphere and the long term support of the club.
The Mrs said last night on the radio that OAP's will still get discounts which I replied I don't think they it looks like I'm right again then doesn't it and that's unusual with my MRS, teenagers is more my concern
If we get promoted, there are unlikely to be seats available to move into, so they'll be stuck in whatever seats they've paid for.
A pass in the South is £531, which is £1,062 just for the two adults, what are they doing, smuggling their kids in? Two adults and two kids at either end of the South will now cost £1,008, which is less than it costs now.
QUESTION TO OLM How cast in stone is all this ? I'm nearer pensioner than teenager but I'm baffled why in this major shake up more hasn't been done for teenagers, surely they're critical to improving the atmosphere and the long term support of the club ?
I judge everything on it's own merit, just because the owners came up with one stupid idea, I don't automatically assume all their ideas are stupid (and this isn't even their idea anyway). I think the principal of a switch from passes to memberships is a very good one, though I don't think they've gone far enough with the kids/families discounts and I hope this is addressed.
Just the upper west available then for general touting by Ehab, why should the touts get the high prices when the club can.
OAP's with private pension like Captain Mainwaring 3 stripes Middle class blue coller workers like Sergeant Wilson. 2 stripes OAP's with state pension along with their unmarried adult offspring like Jones, Pike , Godfrey 1 stripe The young, single, noisy, boisterous, hooligan types. no stripes and dishonorable discharge.
I don't know is the honest answer. I'd like to see some movement on kids/family prices, so I hope not completely set in stone, but I think it's probably circumstances that will dictate what happens next.
Agreed. Are they really pissed off with Burns or is it released just to test the water? Because they need to factor in concession prices into this. What about photo ID's??
I have decided. Hull City can. **** off next season. I will go to away games only if i am allowed to buy tickets
QUESTION TO OLM - If we dont get promoted, has the policing of the blocks been discussed, it will be a free for all. Buy the cheapest membership, get there early, pick the best seats, regardless of where or how much you are supposed to have paid. I can only see more stewarding needed to keep people in check. SUGGESTION TO OLM & CLUB - Have the season cards for each block printed to match the colour of the price zone on the stadium map. One quick flash of your card and the steward will know you are in the right price zone area. SUGGESTION TO SELF - Stop giving ideas away for free
