Burnsy's job is to get scoops....... Shame the club themselves let the feline out of the soft canvas container by putting up massive teasing 'Earn Your Stripes' ads on hoardings on the main roads in Hull.
Am I missing something here ? No increased gate revenue projected for next season ? Is that break even with the 1/4 mill saved on not having the admin costs of season pass renewals plus whatever is being lost by fraudulent kiddy impersonators ? Any sense of the revenue lost due to disgruntled fans having to move around from their preferred seating arrangements (preferred vantage point, around their pals etc) ? Projected revenue next season compared to this season (in total, not just gate receipts) ? Is it another "gift" from the Allams to the City of Hull ?. Or perhaps a very bad business decision ? Knighthood ? It's bizarre to say the least, but not surprising, given recent history with our ownership. What's changed your position over the last couple of months OLM ? From not being very complimentary about the ownership, to seemingly supporting, or at least defending, this new scheme, which must have been endorsed by the owners. Something else is going on here. Are there new owners in the wings insisting all this antagonistic, fan unfriendly **** happens, before signatures and exchange of cheques occurs ?
But they wont go behind the goal at £27 a month ticket when to the edges its £21 a month with a few kids. That adds up. There'll be a mad scramble to the cheap seats, after that it may be pay on the day rather than season pass.
Are the fans in the West Upper vocal, vociferous and generally inspiring types who'll get the rest of the ground humming ?
Can someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm an OAP sit in W4, the price for my seat there will be £41,50 a month ie £498 a year, at the moment the season pass was for the same seat Somewhere around £345. I don't see that as a price reduction, and I have a 500 mile round trip to watch City, Great just Great
Not sure if anybody has replied to this, if they have my apologies, but isn't that what the pair of ****wits do all the time? Does Allam senior tell Ehab, "Go and think up what we can piss the fans off with next, but make sure it is something worth while."
Exactly, which ****ing idiot decided to reward people who don't want to commit to the club by joining the membership scheme with some of the best seats in the house? Whoever thought of this should be taken outside, stabbed, shot, burned then drowned. After that laid out on the tarmac so we can all piss on them.
It seems the OSC haven't read, or if they have, understood, the information which has been so far released. As for creating an improved atmosphere, further diluting any atmosphere by dispersing the occupants of West Upper who will be demanding those around them sit downand shut up amongst the few who try and create an atmosphere will not help. How will all this improve the match day experience (a phrase which should result in anyone using it other than in a facetious manner being tarred and feathered and run out of town)?
The price of the disabled ticket was doubled a couple of years ago so they paid full price - if the were classed under the government's classification as medium or high then they are entitled to a carer who gets a free ticket
I take it you haven't read the club's statement the articles in the HDM or any of the dozens of posts on the subject?
Where are all the families with kids in the South Stand? I've been in there since it opened in S5 and admittedly I've seen the occasional baby being held or now and again I've seen some kids dotted about - are they all in the corners?
I'm pissed off with tis. I moved from a great seat in the East stand near the half-way line 2 years ago to start taking my son. Tried the south stand but didn't like the view or the atmosphere, and managed to get us both seat in at the edge of E8/E9 this season. Cost this year I think was £608. I was hoping to move further towards E7 next season. Under the new scheme to stay where we are would be £828 - so £220 more. I can't afford that increase. Zone 2 = £648 (2 x£27 x12) is still a £40 increase. Based on the people I know with kids in the East or West there will be hundreds if not thousands of people looking at moving to the cheaper zones. It's not just 1 person moving either it's groups of 2,3 or 4 which means a lot of single adults will have to move out of the family stand to make this possible. My choice is therefore stay where I am but by myself, or move to a cheaper zone and probably not enjoy the view/atmosphere as much and still pay £504 a year. If my son stops going I would also have to think hard about whether to go myself as I have grown to really enjoy our Saturday's at football together. I also know that if this happens my ongoing battle against him wanting to support FCB or Man City will be a lot harder and it will be one more future City fan lost. As to adults using kids passes, are they just guessing the numbers? I can understand why some people give a kids pass to an adult sometimes. My son doesn't go to night games unless school hols so he has missed loads of games this season. I have often though about transferring his ticket to a mate, but not bothered as the hassle of trying to get it upgraded at short notice makes it not worth trying. In the end it's just a wasted seat. How many other have thought this and in the end just had them try entering on the kids pass.
This season I paid about £160 for my son's season pass in West upper. Next season IF, and only if, I can manage to get him a seat in the £27 block in West lower the cost will be £324. Are the Allams having a ****ing laugh?
Call me harsh, but a lot of OAP's have far more disposable income than you're average working bloke. Cashmere tartan rugs don't come cheap. Should they really be subsidised? The kids are a different matter.
I would imagine they are going up to full price like teenagers and if so I can see many of them leaving I think the club are in for a massive shock
