If we don't get promoted and next season and we have crowds below 21,000 (which we will), then it won't be opened, if we do get promoted, we'll sell it on matchday tickets no problem.
Thats bollocks to justify a very poor & unfair decision by the club. Making up more bollocks about 900-1200 adults going in on children's tickets as a way of justifying the decision means they have no proper or worthwhile means to justify what they are about to put onto the club's future support.
I quite like this new membership ship just hope I can keep my seat in e4 from were I've been sat since the stadium opened
Sure! Burns is a **** and announced **** he shouldn't have. We don't have the full version of the prices yet. The majority of people will be paying less. We still don't have the full version regarding concessions etc. Apparently the ground will be empty due to people who've happily paid over the odds for donkeys years quitting because of the Allams. Charging less. It's new, for the UK, it's scary and moving seats is akin to slapping someone in the face, ****ting on their lawn and shagging their missus.
Seems to me this has several positives. Clears out the West Upper and fills up the lower bowl to improve the atmosphere (potentially). The empty West Upper will also make it ready for moving the away fans up there in a few seasons time (although I'm not sure that'll be good for the atmosphere). Ticket savings for most. Other discounts.
How would people from the West Upper moving and sitting them amongst people who occasionally make some noise where they will complain to the stewards about anyone standing up or interupting their discussions by getting behind the team improve the already poor atmosphere? 2,500 thousand away fans all getting behind the away team in the West Upper would make any away team think they were playing at home even more than happens now. Not that this is likely to happen given the police and SAG.
I've been trying to work this one out myself. It just doesn't. They'll be exactly the same as you said. Maybe a few more people will get involved, but atmosphere certainly won't improve that much at all.
