Yeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssss Ballyandy All about stamina that, well outpaced down the hill but found plenty. Get in !!!!!!!!
The Not606 Preview Evening strikes again: (OD) I very much like Ballyandy here, he has course form and I think it was a decent renewal of the “High Sheriff Of Gloucestershire” Bumper he won back in November. He should have similar underfoot conditions in this and can gain revenge on Coeur Blimey back at level weights. I really don’t rate the Irish challenge this year, words which will no doubt come back to haunt me.
Another good day even if I did lose out on a big return with the might of Sprinter Sacre winning today. Absolute legend of a horse now in my eyes after that race today. Just super stuff, really was... Almost glad I missed out on the money just to see that result...!!! Blaklion & Ballyandy made it a good day from a betting side, but with UDS & Yarnworth coming up short it made it some what shorter in the pocket than it could have been... Any way, I have got plenty of shekels left in the tin for the next two days, lets bring it on. Day 3 beckons... Good days racing once again. What is it about these four special days that just gets us all weak at the knees - edit, Oddy that might be the beer in your case...!!!
Just managed to watch the recording Sprinter Sacre - what a horse. Fantastic to see him put up a brilliant performance and win.
Unbelieveable festival so far, really fabulous. Sprinter winning today was absolutely incredible, the surge of pace he showed round the final bend (after looking outpaced down the hill) was incredible. Can't remember anything like it. Absolutely loving this festival after 2 days
Blaklion and any currency did the honours for me today so why not have a little play kempton has served me well the last month and won't owe me a dime for a while
From The Guardian website: The lord giveth and the lord taketh away ... The punter who bet £220,000 on Douvan to win £80,000 yesterday has done his dough ... and then some. Jamie Loughead, spokesman for Star Sport bookmakers,, has been in touch to say that the firm took £135,000 from the same fellow on Un De Sceaux and £60,000 on More Of That, both of whom lost. Ouch.
Oddy, I know ive been watching some of these races at work on a ****ty small screen but from the opening race to the last today the races just seem to be run quicker than most... Didn't you put up that Altior ran 4 seconds quicker than the track record...?? Do you think that they will now water the track to just slow things down a bit or will it not make much difference now...?
