It's likely going to destroy what little atmosphere exists already. Eliminate the cost of 250,000 quid for season-pass administration costs ? Yes it definitely will. Assume attendance is maintained at 15,000. Assume every membership costs the minimum monthly price of 21 quid. Annual income from the new scheme = 3.78 million quid ( only using the lower base seat price). That problem easily solved then. Fraudulent use of kids passes by adults ? Logistically & technologically a very simple problem to solve. I'd like to see a comparison of what their current gate-receipts are compared to their projected expectations with the new scheme with the same assumptions of attendance figures. One thing for certain is that the plan will not be lowering revenue. It's just alienating so many fans yet again. I'm puzzled why an owner, who is on record that he intends to offload the club, is implementing this at this time.

Certain eh? The revenue per seat will fall under the new arrangement, there was always a plan to lower season pass prices for next season and that has been applied to the new pricing structure.
The HDM plan is wrong, the one on the OWS is correct, you won't have to move. Only adults in the South and pass holders in the West Upper will have to move, everyone else can stay where they are, or move if they want a cheaper seat.
The simple reason is they become fans for life. They pay their money as adults to watch Hull City play MK Dons as well as Hull City v Burnley.
To be fair Obi, it was not a pop at you. It was the argument from the other side (of which i technically sit as I don't have children that attend football). There will be a large section of supporters that go with other adult friends that think its great that they are not subsidizing tickets for other peoples kids. I get that it will price out some kids/parents which is a shame as I would like the place to be packed with current and future fans, but it is fair. Would you be happy to pay 4x more for a drink, sandwich, car, car valet, lap dance etc just because you were not a concession of some sort. I don't understand why football and other things are priced like this when the product is the same what you receive....in this case, a seat.
Then you'd be completely wrong. There's nothing that has been raised on this thread that wasn't raised at the meeting. The idea of switching from traditional passes was generally very positively received, though obviously the cost for kids (particularly teenagers) was seen as a major issue, as was the fact that a couple of thousand fans would have to move and would be completely against doing so. We were not presented with a final version of the plans, we were just given a general overview, at the time of the meeting no decision had been made on what was going to be done to remedy the teenager issue. They've obviously now included £21/month seats is the North with this in mind, but I'm not sure that's enough, I think there's also going to be some Family Stand issues that will still need to be resolved. In addition we were given further information about some related aspects to the changes that don't seem to have been covered at all in today's announcements. These relate to accessing the ground using better technology, being able to get passes, bundles or individual tickets on membership cards, or even on phones. There's also information still to come out on matchday ticket prices, which were better but still had a lot of undecided aspects around zoning and scrapping categories etc.

Utterly stupid comment. They are being forced to move from some of the best seats in the house to some of the worst of course their going to be annoyed. If you're worried about money you wouldn't sit in the Upper West in the first place.
Really ? Who's subsidising whom then ? What are the assumptions about increased attendance figures to compensate ? Something else being introduced to generate revenue to offset lower season pass prices ? Something doesn't make sense here.
My parents have had the same passes for a decade in the Upper West, they've also sat in every stand at some point or other for various games. Showing them the seats they've already sat in and didn't like isn't going to convince them to move. The financial savings are meaningless as the price of a pass is peanuts to them anyway. So unless something changes the club have lost another two regulars, I imagine many in the Upper West are in the same boat. They'll just buy tickets on general sale to the odd game.
