If you haven't already, read the free book 'Invincible' that came with 2015/2016 membership pack. So many of the players from that team are quoted stating how absolutely vital Dein was in the recruitment of Wenger's target players. Something so many seem to have forgotten in their rush to scapegoat AW.
On one hand you are right. It's a very good squad and from a coaching stand point should be performing considerably better. This is where Wenger is loosing it. But on the other hand very few managers could have assembled this squad. Ballerin arguably the best RB in the league cost NOTHING. Koscielny seems like a steal at £10 Million, Coquelin cost next to nothing, Cech was an absolute bargain at £11million. Then there's the constant influx of talented youngsters Reine Adelaide, Iwobi and Joel Campbell all look very promising. The squad is good, the motivation/coaching side of things is the real issue.
I was just thinking that with Guardiola going to City I think Joachim Low would be my first choice to replace Wenger.
It's a bit risky, only because I think it's a big chance-transition going from international football, and straight into club football, and not just any club, but AFC, and English football all wrapped together. Might be very difficult to make that transition and get it right.
Yup its risky from the perspective of transfers etc.. But we do know that he's a great tactician, motivator and his sides play good attacking football.

I think that's fairly obvious so not sure why you need to repeat it, but who would you want to replace him with?
Interesting, not a bad call. He (as with all the other choices) has a few cons to go with his obvious pros - style of play is vastly different, meaning a period of adjustment. But if he'd be willing to leave (and lets face it, we can chuck some serious money at him both in wages and transfer budget) then it could be a good choice.
That is true, but then again, we aren't as attractive as we once was. I think Wenger's team during the 06-09 period was at its most attractive. I think the pressure to perform has made us more duller to watch. We were at our most fluid when we had Cesc and Hleb in midfield (except the Invincibles of course). We can't seem to maintain possession the way used to and other teams can dominate us in possession, something that didn't happen then.
One reason he would be very good is motivation, he was a leader-captain when he played, so he knows what to do, and as a manager you also see he has a lot of that, you need that these days. Wenger doesnt seem to instil confidence in his players, he doesnt make them feel like ruthless, and his nervousness transmits to them, it's not a coincidence that this team always in many big games look nervous-scared. He's also won everything he can win in Spain, except the UCL, which he was a whisker away from winning, and he's made the La Liga into a big 3 now, and has made Athletico on par with Real, now that shows a helluva lot of skills for such a young manager, and in such short time.
Outstanding manager and one of the best top 3 managers in the world. To compete with Barca and Real who have far far greater resources and fanbase is amazing. There is no question that he is better than Wenger at the moment.

He also happened to win the title on the last day, away, at the Nou camp, not bad at all if you ask me. Pity they couldn't win the UCL that year, they were so close.
Simeone has been at Athletico for 5 years now, so he might feel it could be time for a change, at a club like Arsenal he will know he will have more funds-resources, and plus the prospects of getting it on in the EPL all adds to a nice combo to intrigue him to join. He may or may not feel he's done all he can at Athletico, but being the ambitious coach he is, I could easily see him also deciding to stay there to solidify Athletico as the top team in Spain against the likes of Barca and Madrid, that would be one huge achievement.
I totally agree. Klopp got close too. Now make Wenger manager of either club and I doubt he would have won their respective leagues, let alone get to the final. He is an Arsenal legend and was once a great manager. People seem to be stuck in the past. He isn't an elite manager anymore.
