This is something that should have been addressed in the Jan' Transfer window. I know we're running a tight ship financially but surely a punt at say 750k until the season end with an option to buy would have made good business sense, not just for Lambert if true but someone who made a difference. Other clubs have done this successfully… but not Hull City!!

There's a huge pot at stake. Stable door/ bolted comes to mind.

 

That tight ship was juggled with the need to address the problem and Powell arrived.
He's a striker according to Giggs and Co, just not to Bruce.

It would be nice to get someone in who can head a ball up front and hopefully would help Hernandez, also the amount of crosses plus corners ect we need someone who can get on the end of them. I know he must have slowed down a bit but I remember seeing him a few years back and his old up play was excellent lets hope he is still good enough to do a job for us. Also lets hope been there last night hasn't put him off

 

Felt sorry for Hernandez last night people around me shouting " for **** sake control the ball you useless prat" yet 90% of the ball he saw was hoofed into him at 100mph and 10 feet of the deck, Diame is not the answer as a striking partner, striker wise its a cluster ****.

 

Rickie Lambert would be perfect on loan, the key difference between whether we get auto promotion or finish in a play off spot. Get in done City, albeit a couple of months too late in addressing the one glaring and obvious deficiency in our squad.

Abel is a quality performer at this level when on form, but he's not doing it at the moment.

Akpom is a write off for us now.

Aluko is a winger.

Anne Diamond is a project at best.

I asked a mate who's a WBA fan if they might kindly pay half Lambert's wages if City took him on loan.

The reply wasn't promising: "Not a problem, if you pay for his food we'll be quids in."

 

bet he was real impressed by the atmosphere and the booing........

 

Yeah bit surprised I haven't heard anything about this in the press?

 

It would be akin to newspaper reports about Elvis being spotted in the supermarket chatting with Lord Lucan.
