But not in other areas, which is what the discussion was about.

There's only 2 or 3 blocks in the north and half a block in the east that creates any atmosphere anyway, if they avoid those they'll make absolutely no difference to the atmosphere at all.

So you'll be paying when there's no games? That seems ridiculous to me - so I'll have to pay £70-£105 for no games?

    Great.

As we have no idea of the discounts, they can't really convince me that there's any good reason to be paying when there's no games.

Earn Your Stripes – our new Season Membership Scheme – is launching for the 2016/17 campaign

Earn Your Stripes – our new Season Membership Scheme – is launching for the 2016/17 campaign, and with it will come a fairer, simpler and, for many, cheaper way of watching the Tigers in action next season.

Full and comprehensive details of the new Membership Scheme will follow next week, but today we can reveal some exciting details which will lead to adults and families making some dramatic savings compared to the price of their existing 2015/16 Season Cards, regardless of whether we’re playing in the Barclays Premier League or Sky Bet Championship.

Earn Your Stripes is a unique new monthly membership programme aimed at rewarding supporter loyalty, reducing the cost of watching the Tigers in action at the KC Stadium both for members and match-by-match supporters, and enhancing the matchday atmosphere.

There are three tiers of Membership – One-Stripe, Two-Stripe and Three-Stripe, with Two and Three-Stripe Membership giving access to a range of extra benefits including away match ticket priority, the option to sign-up to Away Direct and discounted away match travel.

However many stripes you sign up for, from the start of 2016/17 the KC Stadium will be split into five different price zones (one of which will be for corporate clients only) offering a ‘one price per zone’ payment plan.

The MKM South Stand will remain as our designated Family Stand, where a family of four could make a saving of up to £244 compared to 2015/16 Season Card prices. Existing concessionary Season Card holders in this area of the ground can choose to remain, or can opt to move to a different seat (along with those you currently sit with) within the South Stand where further savings can be made with membership available from as little as £21 per month. However, to maintain the South Stand as our family-orientated and friendly zone, any current singular adult Season Card holders in this area will be required to move to another area of the stadium but big savings will still be made on the cost for 2016/17.

There are big savings to be made in other areas of the stadium, too, with adults able to make a saving of up to £282, that’s a huge 47% when compared with the current season!

To put it in its simplest terms – signing up for Membership means you will be able to watch the Tigers in Sky Bet Championship action for as little as £11 per game, or just £13 per game should we be successful in gaining promotion to the Barclays Premier League – which would be one of the cheapest offerings in the top flight.

Our new Membership Scheme is also aimed at improving the matchday atmosphere inside the KC, enhancing noise levels from a packed-out lower bowl, and we ask supporters to note that Memberships will not be available in the Upper Tier of the West Stand, with that area of the ground only available for match-by-match ticket buyers for high-demand fixtures. Supporters currently holding a Season Card in the Upper Tier will be invited down to the stadium and given priority in selecting a new seat.

Although the new Membership Scheme will mean an increase in price for a minority of existing concessionary Season Card holders, we feel that the new pricing structure will be fairer and simpler for all and will also assist in our overall strategy of reducing the price of matchday tickets.

Speaking about Earn Your Stripes, Tigers Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam said: “From the brink of extinction to the Premier League, an FA Cup Final and European football, our story is a script which could never have been written – it’s been nothing short of unbelievable.

“Our new Earn Your Stripes Season Membership offers a fairer and simpler pricing plan and is just one of the ways in which the Club can ensure that there is no financial barrier to watching our script unfold.”

Full details about Earn Your Stripes, including all prices, stadium plans and details of how and when to sign up, will be released next week.

You're just spreading the payments over twelve months, you think paying £500 over nine months is a better deal than £300 over twelve months?

That's already the case for some people, say the difference between S7 and W1 or S1 and E11. Its annoying but short of having a single price across the entire stadium its always going to happen.

If anything the new pricing bands are more logical than the ones currently in place, shame the rest of the system is utter ****.

There's a shame, given one of the stated aims of this is to improve the atmosphere, which not stated is to correct the mess left by the last move. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

" KC Stadium will be split into five different price zones (one of which will be for corporate clients only)"

Does that mean zone 5 (W5,6,7,8) is now corporate only?

At the turnstiles for West Upper the club generally have a steward on guard looking at the coloured lights (denoting pass type) as people pass through the turnstiles so they're not really going to save that much.

Everyone will receive a brochure next week that details everything, the scheme wasn't supposed to be announced until these were ready to go out, but it seems the club had it's hand forced somewhat.

In some ways I think its fair, I mean, a seat is a seat, why should age matter?

Some of those are already corporate only, in fact, most of them.

The corporate prices are not listed on there, so presumably the most expensive seats in the West are just seats, not corporate.

The basis on which the seats are now being offered is very much the same principal under which the corporate seats have always been sold. You pay for the seat, not who sits in it and the membership is on an ongoing basis, you don't have to renew every year, it just keeps going unless you cancel it.

My biggest jokey moan is about me having to pay so much more than my Brother in Law, we watch the same game stood side by side and his season pass gets reduced.

This will in some ways balance this out. I will save about 20% on last season and he will pay about the same

I'm hungover and can't be arsed with life at this current moment. City playing **** and releasing this clusterfuck of an idea doesn't help.
