Just got all the way through to watching Episode 4. What the hell happened to British TV Drama? This is brilliant quality stuff. It's better than 99% of cinema because of the depth of story. The Night Manager series is like a runaway train.
And this is why I'm against the death penalty: stuff like this transforms monsters back into the small, pathetic little creatures they were before their heinous acts. It's easier to mythologize someone killed by the state than one in court whining about an inadequate supply of moisturizer and Playstation games.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ew-era-but-eva-carneiro-treatment-a-disgrace/ Article talking about how disgracefully Chelsea have treated Carneiro....dragging this out, when they would pay vast sums to a succession of sacked managers. I wonder if it is the money or her insistence on an apology that is causing the problem. Managers will settle for money and move unto another job, but she is a professional and her reputation matters to her....and affects her career. Looks like Mourinho's last gift to Chelsea was this embarrassing problem....a quick statement after the match saying he had over reacted (which he had) and this would never have happened.
It's crazy how this has happened. Everyone knows she was doing her job as requested by the referee and that Jose was in the wrong. All he had to do was say he got carried away in the heat of the moment and apologise to her. He could have said it publicly with an apologetic smile and it would have all been over. Everyone would have thought more of him for it.
