Spoke to soon - they moved back to outside my flay about 10 mins later so I needed a sleeping tablet. So much for having a relaxing week off! As is usually the case, after you moan about them not working during the day, the following day they do!

H, how much of a problem are road works with your lessons and are you given much advance notice?

Same happened with my son - I uysed to drive miles every Sunday taking him to games where he might get played for about ten minutes - surprise surprise the sons of the "in crowd" used to be played however bad they were - eventually my son gave it up but now plays for his University and they won a tournament in Ireland earlier this year.

I wasn't much good so took up refereeing. Had to end that when I split from my ex as she used to drive me to matches. The buses here are lousy and I didn't want to cycle and end up exhausted before I'd started. Even though I didn't get above the inital level, I have refereed full "international" players - work out how. (The use of quote marks is a clue)

    Morning all

A cloudy one here. About to go to war on the ants in the lawn...four feeding stations which are supposed to get them to take something noxious back into the nests. If that doesn't work might try hiring an anteater!

Afternoon all, had a busy day so far went for a swim, then the gym. An hours drive to go the dental hygenist, then back again. A bit of lunch, now time for a little snoozette before nightshift!

I don't count it as a sleep and it is a bit less than a snooze, so snoozette covers it I think! Maybe I should call a power sleep, far more manly! View attachment 5904 :emoticon-0165-muscl <laugh>

Funnily enough that's what I'm doing today too - have already done 5 bedrooms, a living room and a dining room over the last 10 days. Friday and Saturday are set aside for the kitchen, by which time I'll be painting in my sleep. :(

Road works are the bane of my life, to be honest. We driving instructors never get to hear about them, so sometimes, inevitably, we just find them and curse a lot. The examiners tend to hear about them though so that tests can avoid them. If only they would share the information, it would make life so much better!

The goalkeeper was the coach's son, and he was so bad, he couldn't move! It was ridiculous!
