There was a suggestion that he was meeting Ehab about this yesterday. If they wanted it kept secret, he wouldn't be tweeting about it. Burnsy was on the AN podcast a few weeks ago and they were asking him why he and other local journalists hadn't asked more searching questions of the Allams during the name change, Airco and ASI sagas. He talked about the need to have a good relationship with the club and how much he values that. He gets information straight from the club as a result of that.
Maybe kids will be a bolt on to an adult membership? The way burns worded that tweet it seems kids will have to pay at least 5x the current price (not sure what that is? 30? 50?) but he said the only group that faces paying more is teenager. We'd all just may as well shut up about it as its a pointless game of guessing without any proper details. We can ask questions of the trust though why they haven't protected West Upper season ticket holders. Who's idea was it to move them? Where was the consultation? Who knew about this?
Me too. I actually let out a little wee in my pants and now I have a 100+ mile journey sitting in the damp.
Individual members of HCOSC and HCST who are on the FWG are bound by the confidentiality agreement and I do not think the club would look kindly on anyone who broke it. Once it is officially announced, I expect that both will consider the implications for supporters and will react accordingly.
Burns had a meeting with the club recently. Would be grossly unprofessional not only for an FWG member to leak to him, but then for him to break a story based on secondhand information.
So when we get 40,000 members trying to obtain a ticket for certain PL games (should we get there) 18,000 will be **** out but still pay their monthly £21 membership anyway.
That's not usually how it works. Again I'm basing everything on my understanding of the way it works over here, but they cap memberships at a certain number, the rest go on a waiting list and pay a very minimal fee (Think like $20 a year over here), so that if someone doesn't renew, they're first cab off the rank. Think people on said waiting list also get first access to any membership holders who can't go to the game who sell their games back to the club.
Well if we're speculating, what if being a member has advantages, and includes an additional optional add on to rent your seat for a year? Burns tweet says "west stand fans to move". It could just mean they're to become more animated or have their cocoa doped with laxatives to help the bowels..
There's no basis to either. The fact is he details a "club source" as the source of his info. This to me indicates it's not official. It certainly doesn't indicate or suggest that he's had a meeting or got hold of the information from Ehab.
Random question, but what do you think to the graffiti on the walkway to the game which mentions you?
If its anything like the old England Away cap system, you have to watch all the dross to qualify to enter a ballot for the bigger games. Perhaps the entry level membership gets you all the "Category B & C" games, and have to pay more for the CAT A games as a bolt on. Probably just utter silence from City tomorrow, leaving everyone in the dark....
