I dont care how we do it either as long as we reverse the last game and win 6-1. I dont mind if we go 3-0, 4-0 or 5-0 up before they score. I dont even mind if Liverpool score first. Yep, they score first, Klopp gallops down the touchline, trips over his fringe. Sammy Lee goes over and sits on his face. Then a mis placed Clyne pass puts in Long who thumps the equaliser past Mingulet. Moments later Tadic turns Clyne and has him tied up so much in circles he goes off giddy and plays a perfect pass to Pelle to score. From the kick off the ball gets played back to Lovren who is too busy dreaming of playing champions league football that Mane ghosts past him and fires into the bottom corner. 3-1. Second half begins, letiss and phil thompson clash noses in the sky sports studio whilst JRod comes on and scores a quick fire hatrick. Lallana is substituted after 60 minutes, clutching the Liverpool badge as he goes off to a chorus of boos as he then slips on a can of nivea moisturising cream for men. Yep I dont care how we win as long as the above happens.
Our Ron has some big decisions to make right across the board this week....a nice problem to have. We need to control the midfield from the start and need bodies in there to compete with their whippets.
Not just Martina, but any player in his situation, is often judged too harshly by fans. Very difficult to learn about the league you are in if you scarcely play...hard to judge him after a few appearances. Don't like his throat problem...he'd better not go round kissing the team....sounds like a cold.
One thing I noticed about Martina is he is happy to have a go at other players, even though it's him who's made the mistake, strange.
The embarrassment of the thrashing handed out by the Scousers may be out of the players minds but it is at the very front of my mind and am desperate for revenge
Anybody else noticed whoever does the midweek player interview tends to be 'rested' on the following Saturday. Is this a ruse on the part of Saints in trying to fool opponents re upcoming team selection? It's a bit P to K4.
If you have access to the Stoke highlights, watch how Martina tracks Arnautovic across the 6 yard box, ending up between VVD and Bertrand, on two separate occasions, in the second half. The first time, before he could get back to his position, Affelay (?) had time and space to hit the hard low cross for the first goal. The second time, the ball ended up with Diouff. VVD needed to dart across and divert the ball over the bar, because Martina was out of position, and should have been the player closing Diouff down, had he not followed Arnautovic. Martina also did something similar against Sunderland, following a player into our defensive midfield area, leaving his space open for Van Anholt (?) to overlap and cross to Rodwell, with Fonte having been pulled out of position trying to close down the cross. That's 3 very good goal scoring opportunities, in two games, as a result of his wandering. I don't think Cedric gets caught out in the same manner, especially since he has become more accustomed to the league.
I expect an upgrade on Martina to come in in the summer. Or a youth prospect to be bought/brought in from u21s.
And VVD gave Martina absolute hell for being out of position after he'd diverted the shot. I'd have Cedric in instead of Martina in a heartbeat - unless Cuco can guarantee us another goal like he got against Arsenal
Pretty much like any other player at any level in the game then... Always better to talk rather than go quiet
