Going off what people have said about Newcastle's previous performance, they were heavily improved I'd say. They never created much last night but neither did Leicester. Sissoko is shockingly poor, ran into Mitrovic when he was in on goal and lost possession a load of times. Should be a good game this weekend.
I think you need major changes in the club though, changing the manager every time doesn't seem to be having a positive effect. You're in danger of going down the Wigan route - only just managing to avoid relegation every season until their luck finally ran out. I hope you lot sort yourselves out.
Not sure I`d use the word improved Tel. They certainly worked harder but that`s not necessarily the same thing. I was more disappointed with Lester tbh. Considering they`re top of the pile I thought they were poor. They still managed to take the points though and that`s what matters. Benitez might get an improvement out of them but isn`t going to be easy and with the remaining games down to 9, time is against him.
Big changes indeed, unlike previous managers though Sam has managed to ship out a lot of the dross that we had previously. Agree we cant keep chopping and changing managers and hopefully Sam will be with us for at least a couple of years, continuity is the key but its no good if its a crap manager. We also need our owner to dig deep and spend so long as it stays within that FFP load of bollocks system. Fingers crossed we will escape again this year and will then have a good base for next year, hopefully anyway.
never had to ask for one myself, its not like going up to a bar and asking for a pint is it? At least you used please though lol
You could be right, I just thought they dealt with Mahrez well last night, Vardy was also ineffective. Leicester would be bottom half without Kante he really has been an incredible player this season. Leics are wobbling, they're not beating teams as easily now after that defeat at Arsenal they've looked different. I still think they'll do enough to win it though.
Why Cante was overlooked as man of the match was the biggest mystery last night, after the first few minutes Drinkwater was useless and should have been subbed imo.
Anybody watching the City game? Fair weather **** fans half empty stadium for a last 16 CL tie. Kompany out, hamstring gone, even with the derby on the horizon and him being a blue, the guy is a class act and I genuinely feel sorry for him.
Not watching it mate, but had it on the radio for a while when I was coming back from the gym..It sounded like an absolutely dreadful game..
