I would drag off sissoko and put Townsend on. Also maybe take off Perez for doumbia. I think mitro with someone up top with him play wel. They are playing 4-4-2 so why not us. Go long.
Negging a bit OTT. They scored one weird goal from their only shot. We look much calmer and stronger. You can't turn sub-standard players into decent talent in a night. This is still the LEAGUE LEADERS. If it'd been Man City top of the table and we played like that, going in 1-0 down, we'd all be delighted. It's the same thing. They're tough to play against - they defend with no nonsense, errors don't tend to happen. They sit deep, which is a pain, and have a positive outlook that sees every bloody bounce go their way!! We have second choice CB's, no LB, we're a winger short and Mitro shouldn't be up front (we should have bought experience in the window). One goal for us and you just never know. At least it's refreshing to hope for better.
I'd personally go with Townsend for Perez. Perez has been more wasteful and made worse decisions tonight than Sissoko. Swap their wings as well. I'd also take off Anita and bring on Saivet, that will let Shelvey have a bit more room. Final change would be to go two up top with Doumbia/Mitrovic, probably sacrifice Sissoko.
I get you bout lascelles but he can't hear me, he won't read this, so I'll say it, he isn't prem material for another couple of years. As for those saying negative I'm calling what I see, it would be hypocritical of me to praise that when it reminds me of mcclaren's team. Just dreading a 2nd goal and capitulation
Lascelles is doing very well today! Seems quite composed and strong in the air. Needs an experienced cb to learn off but him and Mbemba would make a good partnership
