Dogs stink, can't be left alone and would drop dead without their owner to keep them sustained. Needy creatures. Cats are independent creatures who enjoy their own space and company. You can have a life and a cat. Where as a dog ends up being your life. I'd like a dog one day though.
Every animal stinks!! I have 4 dogs and the only time they smell is when it's wet out and they've just come in (although I'm anal about the smell of the house and refuse to be judged by people who think "dogs stink" as a first impression!! My brothers cat ****s in the house! You can smell it right through. It goes out and craps as well but it has its litter tray! Dogs would survive if they had to. They were once wild and have become domesticated because of humans. One things fir certain, if I ever went blind I'd rather have a Labrador showing me where to cross the road than a cat... The cat would lead you in front if the bus and look down on you with disgust for slowing it down! Evil creatures!! I'm a dog man. My missus only works part time in the school over the road from the house and the dogs are left along fir a couple of hours a day maximum so they don't rule our lives. Got dog sitters for holidays and nights out too!!
I don't mean hygiene I mean the actual smell of the animal. They both have their own distinct smell. I love to bury my face in my fluffy long hair(he doesn't shed fur) and sniff up. Love the natural smell. The natural smell of dogs make me feel sick. Just one of those things. A cat wouldn't lead you anywhere, it's got more self respect than to enslave itself. They're certainly not evil. I don't read about to many kids lives that have been destroyed by cats, even though they've got the potential to do some real damage. Neither cats or dogs are evil but it's dogs who can be widely trained to do evils bidding not cats.
I'm far more of a dog person than a cat person and have just put paid a deposit on a sprocker puppy that we went down Whitby to see last week. It will be early May when we can eventually bring it home though..
I love cuddling into my dogs mind so I guess it's each to their own (apologies for misconstruing your original point!) That bold bit is very true! I agree they've got life sussed (sleep 16 hours a day - how cool would that be!) - and agree about what you can train dogs to do (although I've seen a cat leave a small child needing plastic surgery after clawing the fact of a crawling baby) but most dogs are only as bad as the owners allow them to be - mine are mental when off their leads but in a "I can run faster than you" way - they wouldn't bite anyone - I've made sure of that - plus none of them are big dogs (biggest is a spaniel) and they heel when told as well. I just don;t like cats - they always look like they're contemplating something evil and devious! They often say you're either a cat person or a dog person! I'm definitely dog!!
All of them are not awesome, you should meet the one that ****s in my garden, he's not even scared, I went outside to boot him and he just stood there looking at me like 'go on then, I dare ya, I'll claw your eyes out you ****ing tuss'.
Cats -I'm not particularly fond of them - and they seem to sense that I'm not a cat lover ! When I'm in a cat owners house - you can bet your last quid that the little bugger will want to sit on my lap, even the most anti-social- feral pet wants me to pet it so it can purr like a jet engine - I was once attacked and bitten by a cat as a young kid walking to school the vicious little bastard, I had to have stitches and a jab, I've never forgiven them since!-and I'm not to enamoured with dogs either - give me a goldfish as a pet anytime!
