Sorry - my mistake - thought I'd heard Burns / Swann refer to him as beng 22

He's a bit of a late starter though Clucas so in football years (if there was such a thing) he is younger. He looks flipping young too

I said similar leaving the ground, SB clearly needs to get a striker coach in, Deano perhaps? he certainly had the instinct, but could he get it over to out strikers? Chillo made a goal scorer out of Big Billy, might be worth a try, I am sure Deano would love to have a go.

I think the 23 shots and only 4 on target more reflects a number of shots that actually were blocked, as they hardly sent loads into the crowd. Sheringham could possibly be the answer, worth a shout.

<laugh> It's quite amusing to think of Deano attempting to communicate with Abel

with the money Brucie has spent, he shouldn't be buying strikers that don't know how to put the ball in the net - having said that Brucie's record on strikers is woeful

I'm also bloody angry about yesterday and I'll tell you exactly why we don't score from corners, we take ****ing dreadful corners,Clucas didn't beat the first man once yesterday. You can't head it in if it doesn't reach you, we never try short corners.

It would make great half time viewing/entertainment though if they beamed it on the big screens!

I would! I'd keep them together for both games, drop Diame for Livermore if fit, if not then Meyler!
If Friday comes maybe bring Diame in, depending on if dropping him makes him come back better, overall I'd have 2 out & out strikers on the pitch!

Bloke next to me yesterday reckoned Allam has a deal in place with a Chinese consortium, but it is dependent on us winning promotion. No idea if he had any substance to it and it could just as easily be bollox as not

Livermore won't be fit for Tuesday but he's got a chance of being ready for Friday

Exactly. Like Vardy, he'll play on a bit longer than most.

there's truth in this, if you started the sport at a later age the body has more years in it

While that's true, Vardy's game is very reliant on pace. I don't see him retaining that crucial burst beyond 33.

He may. A 40 year old in aussie rules down here is still out pacing speedy 20 year olds. Exception not the rule though so will be interesting with vardy.

It's not like Vardy wasn't playing football until his mid twenties. He was just doing it at a lower level.

There's truth to it. It's why guys like Owen burn out at a younger age.
