    Dk would you not be concerned by Hendos record in the Supreme,hasn't had a winner since 1992,I hadn't even hit puberty by that stage!!

    not really, hes ran some great horses in it and he really wants to win it this year because of the record, hes said a few times this race is his best chance of a winner

    I think Buvuer Dair has more class than Altior but maybe Altior is more ready for the race, not exactly confident of winning but think im on a decent horse at a decent price, could be one for the Arkle next year

    That Buveur D'air screams stayer to me on pedigree - he is out of the same dam (History) as Punchestowns and Tistory and the more successful progeny of his sire, Crillon, are more around the 20 furlong mark.

    Monorah, Al Ferof, Noland, Vautour, I dont mind being on a stayer, the way he beat Wait For Me at Newbury I dont think hes short of pace, can see him travelling better than Altior

    Altiors the staying chaser out of those pair to my eyes. Neither look Champion Hurdle horses.

    Have to say Oddy I don't take a word Hendo/Nicholls to seriously.Hendo said a couple of years ago Captain Conan was electric and one of his main fancies,muggings here backed it and the fuker was pulled up after a few fences!!Then he said last year Sprinter Sacre was back to his old self and we know happened there.I can't trust Nicholls either

    Nicholls saying Old Guard's work was "dire" this morning, so we'll no doubt see a career best on Tuesday <laugh>

    Bob that begs the question do you think if Hendo had trained Vatour/Douvan they would have won the Supreme?I wonder how much Willie's training methods differ from old whiskey hands?!!

    Anyone know why it seems just the Mares Hurdle and Champion have 48hr decs, yet the other 2 Grade Ones on don't? Bit odd...
