I thought the ethos that CARD were following was make feelings against the owners clear, but support the team?
Agreed, the balloons, the funeral, the trip to the other club, all good to see. Disrupting the game, really not good to see.
I get that but they're on Sky. They're not going to get their protest noticed much more than doing it at this televised game. Even Sky's commentators feel for them despite it interrupting their game.
So you condone them not supporting their team? There's loads of things they could do to send a stronger message, some of which would be breaking the law, I don't see that as a good thing either. Surely it would be better to boycott en mass, after doing the other stuff outside?
I agree and I actually do feel sorry for them. Their CE is ****ing strange. I just don't agree with not supporting the team.
They're protesting, it doesn't mean they're not supporters, in fact I would say it proves they are supporters and not customers - their club is run by charlatans, they do right to protest.
I didn't say they weren't supporters. I said they're not helping their team much, quite the opposite in fact. I guess if you think booing your own players is fine, you'll be ok with whistles, and all the other distractions that will put the players off. Not for me ta.
We have a ****ing strange owner, CTWD protested and still supported our team, you didn't have much sympathy for them.
Their protesting isn't about this game, they see it as a protest regarding how they see the future of the club - it's the bigger picture, I know you don't do protests, and I respect that choice, but the Charlton fans are, in my opinion, to be applauded. As for myself, I do protests, it doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else.
With the whistles, they are supporting their team. They're only blowing when Boro get the ball. I'm not saying it's right.
What are they protesting about? I'm sure I should know about it but I don't follow much football outside of my City bubble nowadays. Life gets in the way.
