Yeah I'll miss the lads and I'll miss the sense of a job well done but it's the right decision. Don't know about the heroes bit, personally I did it because people needed my help and I was able to give it, but thank you for the kind words.

Full respect for what you have done and something you will always look back on with a sense of pride.

All the best in your next chapter.

Brilliant. Ours have moved away this year, there was some tree cutting in the forest last year. Still see some, most we saw at one time was 9!

We went to Swindon yesterday and went to an ice hockey match. Nine of us went and every single one of us, without exception, loved it far more than we were expecting. Absolutely the best fun I've had in a while. Even my professionally bored 15-yo daughter loved it. It makes much more sense live than when it's on TV. £14 a head for a couple of hours of unbridled aggression and fantastic skill..

    Go. I urge you.

As others have said, thank you for risking your life for others on a regular basis. The men and women who serve on our lifeboats will always be heroes of mine.

Got FM16 when it was deeply discounted, after having skipped the last few years.

Remarkable: it includes the Canadian town of ~4000 people where I grew up in its options for 'place of birth'.

    Better: it's misspelled.

He's a bit of wolf in sheep's clothing. Absolute nutter, but appearing to be very sensible. He usually goes in search of exotic or dangerous animals, but he has his other life of being athletic, so although the dangerous animals doesn't do much for me, the abseiling down Angel Falls does.

Think I'll go take a peep.

You can get accused of being a bit nuts likening Trump to Hitler, but there are several worrying parallels; both are rabble rousers deliberately whipping the ignorant into a frenzy, both stir up emotions by scapegoating religious minorities, both blame all their countries problems on foreigners, and both exhibit and play on contempt for the political establishment of their day. Trump's use of violent rhetoric, and apparent willingness not only to tolerate but also to encourage the use of actual violence by his supporters is a worrying echo of Germany in the 1930s. If Trump became president of the US, how long before his supporters began smashing muslim shopkeepers windows while the authorities are persuaded to look the other way?

Huge differences between pre-war Germany and the United States. The government condoned and was involved in anti-Jewish activity in Germany....Trump (or any President) doesn't have the power to overturn human rights under the constitution in America. Also Trump would have to tone himself down as President...just as more left-wing Presidents, such as Obama, were unable to carry out their plans as fully as they wanted to. You have to be all things to all men.

If he had control of both the Senate and the House, he could get bills passed to send the Mexicans and Muslims "home", plus strip anyone accused of "anti-government action" of their US citizenship ............. Call me paranoid, but that sounds awfully like how Hitler got control of pre-war Germany. Too many people looked the other way until it was too late.
