Still say the last game of the season at home to Brum will decide that.

If we have to win it to get top 6, I'll be happy enough. Having said that, we could demote one of the teams currently above us by then.

Masky, if any part of the ball is over any part of the line it's in the quadrant. It doesn't have to touch the line, that's for the egg chasers.

Ipswich came to put themselves about, get the ball into the danger area and win 2nd balls. I thought we dealt with it well. It was an ugly game but that was very much down to the visitors not us.

A very good 3 points whatever way you look at it. I believe we can do this and more importantly the players really look like they believe it. <ok>

I think the current top 6 will remain as they are.

If we beat Derby and get at least a point from Wednesday then it will be game on.

Derby are looking more and more like us under Dave Jones and we know what happened there.

To be fair I agree on paper it looks as though where we are is where we'll finish. Looking at the remaining fixtures, we would appear to have a tougher task than Derby or Sheff Wed, but they've still got to play each other yet so someone is going to drop points.

Also there are no easy games in this division. A side battling to stay up can cause far more damage to playoff hopefuls than a secure mid table outfit with nothing to go for.

I still don't think Brighton are safe from a collapse though it would have to be pretty spectacular for them not to make it. They've still got to play Burnely, Brum, Derby and Middlesbrough away last game - that's a tough run in, but on the other hand they could do us some favours as well.

I still say it's down to us and in our own hands. We must beat Derby first, and getting anything at all at Burnley will make the Sheff Wed game a cruncher for a playoff spot.

I think 18 points from 9 games would see us in the playoffs with a final total of 76. No easy games there with all apart from Reading, QPR and possibly Brentford still trying to get up or avoid going down.

It is not beyond the realms of possibility with everyone fit or not suspended apart from Turner. I would place it as 50/50 at the moment but a win at Reading would change that to 60/40 in our favour. Wins are more important than draws at this stage.

Bloody inconsiderate of Ipswich to win last night. On same points as us but with inferior goal difference. That makes our need to win at Reading on Saturday even more urgent.

Hope that isn't the start of another "round robin" type sequence that defies logic - we beat Ipswich, Ipswich beat Reading, then Reading go and beat us.<yikes>

I said at start of season City would finish top ten (may have said mid table) but not top 6.

I still stand by that; inconsistency, lack of cutting edge up top and too many errors at the back to see us get enough points in remaining games to overtake Sheff Wed & Derby who IMO will make the last 2 spots.
