Just read that only Wet Sham have had higher %age attendances than us this season - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...upporters_ipswich_are_in_40th_place_1_4451212. I see 1p5wich are in 40th place in the table. I guess they're hoping we do get relegated, than at least their ground will be full.
I wonder if West Ham's % will remain that high when they move to the Olympic Stadium. Good healthy attendances in the PL by the look of those stats. Be interested to see the Championship ones too.
The missing seats will be away support though - Norwich is difficult to get to. I bet if you removed away allocation and support we'd be top. Also the Man U figures are well known to be absolute bollocks according to the police records
I can understand why clubs want high attendances but me personally when I go to a football match I think it a bonus to have an empty seat next to me one either side is the jackpot( same at the cinema).....also I hate to queue up so less people is better..........tbh honest I think it might be an age thing...
Lot of empty seats on Saturday, mainly due to television messing with the schedules again. Man City returned a load of tickets as well. It's becoming more important that armchair supporters are catered for than the faithful who turn up every week.
Yes, it is quite noticeable the difference in attendances, though I thought the attendance for the Liverpool game was very good with a similar time kick off. I'm sure our past form has affected the casual support and I imagine casual NCFC fans were being asked to stump up around £50 a ticket. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to pay that only to see us possibly be on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline or worse!!!!
....some people pay good money to be sandwiched between two sweaty blokes .........personally it's not for me.......and I won't judge.
I remember reading something about this before, I think they assume every casual and season ticket holder has turned up. It's probably only the away fans that get counted and recorded properly, hence the sub-100% attendance.
I see that our fantastic fans have renewed their season tickets in droves, so that once again, the cap will be at 22,000. I know most who sit near me have been there for at least the past 10 seasons!!!
But that can not happen at Poorman road sureley. I thought all tickets were sold with the promise of space on either side.
