Well I missed most of that. I don't quite understand why so may people were stressed. I got into the bar after hockey match and we won 1-2 away. Easy.
If 'Roy' has any sense he'll be in the squad for the Euros just for his adaptability. But does Roy have any sense?
I thought Clasie was actually kind of bad today, and Romeu wasn't much better. Sloppy passes, and some poor challenges as well. And Davis was rather average as well. Really a rather poor game from our central midfield, but I'm not concerned. I'm sure they'll be back in fine form next game.
Next game I expect Fonte and Wanyama to be in for Targett and Clasie. Ward-Prowse could be in contention too.
Fonte will be back for sure, but not sure who he will replace. We could go to five at the back again. I think Wanyama will also be back in the side, but less sure about that. If I HAD to guess, I think he replaces Romeu. But it's pretty much a coinflip which of the midfielders Koeman will use in any given game when they are all fit. We went five or six games in a row with different defensive-ish midfielders each time without any repeat pairings.
Just got back from the game. Great stuff Saints - thoroughly deserved win today. Would've been so nice if Dusan had wrapped the game up just before half time, but Saints always like to make us work for the points. Tough place to get a result, and considering a couple of typically poor refereeing decisions from Lee Mason, we did tremendously. COYR.
Alan must have had a crystal ball. Southampton striker Graziano Pelle has been backed to return to top goalscoring form by former Saints star Alan Shearer. (Southern Daily Echo)
I think that will be the two changes that are made. Clasie has been very good in a couple of games recently, along with Romeu, however he was mixed today and even if you play well Koeman frequently alters his midfield.
I said recently too but he does seem to tire quickly meaning that he is always one of the subbed players reducing our options, so hopefully he will continue to become fitter.
strikes me (ouch)! as a Young man who has taken a big bite of humble pie and now see,s the light. go pelle go.
Heh, since we returned to the PL, our matches at the Britannia have gone 3-3, 1-1, 2-3, 2-1, and 1-2. We're the most exciting fixture on the calendar every year!
Think of it as us being the main feature, on after the trailers. Plus most people would turn over if they'd left the Norwich game to the end of the show.
