Didn't see the game but heard we were 25-7 up. Surprised to see it was such a close finish, indiscipline almost cost us again. Sets up a big finish next week if France beat Scotland tomorrow though I wouldn't be surprised if the Scots pull off a win tomorrow...
It was more a case of the substitutes unsettling what was a well functioning team. Then going a man down. We just don't seem to finish well against Wales...
Magnificent from England for 70 minutes. Wales finished strongly and could of nicked it had North not been forced into touch. England were fantastic in the scrum, line out and at the break down. All improvements since Jones took over. The only criticism of Jones was too many changes again and I'm still not convinced by Ford. Bring on the French!
Heard the second half on the radio while driving. Tense. You do get the feeling that England are learning though. Hope we take a full strength squad to Australia in the Summer, to see how much progress has been made.
Jocks doing well against the French, if they win England take the Six Nations with a game to spare and a Grand Slam to go for. And Eddie Jones might get an MBE out of it, has to win the World Cup for his knighthood.
Jocks are certainly the most improved side in the Championship, hopefully they will go on to win today...
11 point lead for the Scots with 5 minutes left. The French won't destroy the Grand Slam party next week, will they?
Scotland have been excellent. It's a shame that England won't go into next week's game with everything at stake. It's nice to win it but takes the edge off of the game in Paris.
Paris in the Spring is a nice place to win the Grand Slam. Congrats England on winning the tournament.
Yes, bit of a sad anti-climax compared to last season's final day. England should hammer the French on form and with the Grand Slam as the prize I can't see France stopping us...
Next week's game has a single prize. Win and the Slam is there, lose (or draw) and it's gone. I thought that the number of permutations going on last season was a bit ridiculous, what with points and head-to-heads all coming into play, and where teams could lose and still win. For England, it's simple. They had the Calcutta Cup win at the start of the tournament, they picked up the Triple Crown yesterday, the 6 Nations title today, and have another prize to fight for next week. As an englishman, that's the ideal scenario for me. Would not have been able to watch had we had everything riding on the final game.
Last weekend coming up with the Grand Slam in play in Paris. Here are my predictions for the final three matches. I can't see England throwing the big prize away at this stage and I expect them to wrap it up easily enough. I think Wales will easily overcome a poor Italian side. The most intriguing match should be in Dublin between Ireland and Scotland. The Scots surprised a few beating the French last week. They are obviously a team on the up whereas I think Ireland are going the opposite way so, I take the Scots to win this one.
