Gill did say that nothing would happen whilst they are on tour and stuff will be worked out when they get home. Which ties in with SAF's comment that there will be no more transfers at the moment. I get the feeling SAF doesn't want all the transfer gossip and rumours hanging over the players' heads whilst they are on tour and should be working on team cohesion and tactics.

I still believe the player we're in for is Sneijder.

If this wasn't the case then surely Sneijder would have said something by now?

    He's been very quiet.

So we have SAF saying no more spending and now Gill saying SAF is still in the market:

"We are looking at one more player to bring inGill told MUTV.

"Nothing is happening and nothing is imminent but we will see what happens when we get home.

"There will still be 31 days of the transfer window to see if anything develops.

"The important point to understand, and Alex has made clear, is that we need someone who is going to improve the quality of the squad.

"We have a great squad and to get into that squad you need to be a world class player."

As I posted and indeed others yesterday, SAF is the master at mind games and no one goes out of their way to name their targets in the media.

By the way if Gill is correct, cue one very embarrassed Nolhman.

Also reports are remerging that Utd are after Douglas Costa.

Would be happen enough with that though Nolhman would probably argue it wasn't a major signing.

He still hasn't answered my question about what a major signing actually constitutes for Utd, and when he believes we last made one...

He'll either ignore your question or come back with some fantastic twist you didn't see coming.
