So finally El Tufty has gone and El Spanish Waiter has come in...still can't believe it like! So we've got 24 points, Palace and Swansea are 9 points ahead of us. What do we realistically need to stay up and where are the points gonna come from ? Leicester (a) - 1 Sunderland (h) - 3 Norwich (a) - 3 Southampton (a) - 0 Swansea (h) - 3 Liverpool (a) - 0 Palace (h) - 3 Villa (a) - 3 Spurs (h) - 0 City (h) - 1 My point predictions are up there,17 points I'm going for which would put us on 41 points. Think that's slightly optimistic perhaps but if I'm honest we should really be looking to win all of our home games, can't see it happening against Spurs or city but again that could all depend on what they're playing for as well as us! Beating city at home isn't out of the question I don't think...unlikely but you never know ! Rafas first home game in charge against the mackems....WOW! What a baptism of fire that's gonna be...then a trip to Anfield a few weeks later, he'd "love it" if we won there !
We are a proper bogey team for Spurs so could get something from that game. Hopefully they won't still be chasing the league or a top-three finish (to automatically qualify for CL group stages) but as it stands they won't have a Europa League final to rest for.
That's ridiculous. Best we can hope for is 11 points, I put us on 36. We're at the mercy of the mackems form, and an unlikely draw or win on the last day of the season against Spurs, hoping the title race will well be decided by then.

Unity. Our job is simple. We GET behind rafa and the team 100%. No grey areas. No beel. No agendas. **** that ****. We either step up or get burned. This is where we do our bit.
Well if it helps any, as a Sunderland fan I've been through our fixtures and I think 11 points is best we can realistically hope for. That includes a point at your place. That's more points per game than we currently are achieving. The question is can you and Norwich get 12 to 13 points to get above us?
Just looked at Newcastle fixtures and I got 11 points too. Norwich I got 10 points. This season you can't predict anything but I think this all underlines just how massive the derby game is and how much dropping those 2 points at Southampton were for us. I'm off to hide behind the couch until June :-(

Win our home games and take 6 points from Villa and Norwich. Do that and we will be comfortably safe. It is still in our hands.
