I've got my songs sorted out in my head at my send-off. I keep trying to raise it with the missus but she won't hear of it.

Gonna have to write it down soon. Keep meaning to.

For my 60th I'm having a tattoo. My wife hates, HATES!!! tattoos. But I'm having one.

Yes but he needs the same advice that I got in the 70's from the older members of British Steel workers - if there is something wrong with you you are either a) not w**king enough or b) you are w**king too much. This sage council has stood me in good stead over the following years and I am still here :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It`s not about getting morbid mate it`s more the realisation that it has to be faced.

Simple as that really. My song says it doesn`t have to be miserable. I`m not and never have been.

You'll outlive most of us on here Comm. That hot sun over there won't freeze your bones like it does over here.

The original lineup of this band were the best ever, an appearance on "Colour me Pop" was the best televised session ever, I wonder what happened to the tapes of this show, or if any one else on here saw the gig. On Kieth Palmer, there was a kid used to play his stuff in the Top House Silksworth back in the day, and he was spot on, apart from the daggers.

Aye 72 I started as an apprentice - I know there are a lot of us down in Corby mostly Scots. One of my subsequent jobs had me working in Corby where I found a lot of friendly faces its almost like an oasis down there!

Something like 65% have tartan blood there.

Reminds me of the north east the few times I've been up there for a beer in the evening.

Its about 12 years since I was last there but its good to think there is a northern invasion as apposed to an invasion from the far south if you know what I mean:undecided:

I wouldn't suggest living there mate. Rough as hell! A real poverty stricken town.

And for any Euro-out voters, Corby is a 100% working class town. And doubtless proud of it!

But every sign on every new development in the town has got the EU flag all over it! Millions of euros have gone in there!

If it weren't for Euro-funding the town would be even more pitiful than it already is.

One of their (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) earliest and successful albums, Pictures at an Exhibition, was recorded live at Newcastle City Hall

Can't find it anywhere else on this thread but it appears he had a gunshot wound to the side of the head and police are treating it as a 'suicide'.

    Read that this morning.

Suppose we`ll find out later whether he`s been diagnosed with something seriously nasty.
