There is a rumour that Manuel has turned them down - Fat Mike has offered him a zero hour contract with less than the minimum wage <whistle>

Did Poyet, PDC or MOn have relegation experience prior to keeping you up? Don't think hey did!

I like that Newcastle are showing ambition with this manager, as much as I don't like Rafa, I can't stand the portion of their fans who keep playing the 'no ambition' card. Their club was an absolute shambles under their previous regime and could have crumbled like a cheap biscuit if Ashley didn't save them. They've got one less thing to chat **** about now if he comes in.

He's a proven winner (FACT <laugh>), not like in a McClaren way either. Next season the league could have Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Wenger, Ranieri, Benitez, maybe Simeone if he goes to Chelsea. That's the sort of cast that can make **** hit the fan and give us all some top quality entertainment!

Yet they were all sacked because they had us dropping like a stone. We got lucky with them in first instance, you'll not find a football fan in the land who doesn't agree we've rode our luck. We should have gone by now. All three managers went on to show they were useless in a dog fight and it cost them their jobs.

Fair enough. However if they can keep you up (be it through luck or indeed design) then I'd be inclined to say Rafa is more than capable.

Never said he's not capable though fella, I just think there's better candidates which is the only point I've been making.

That's true. I'm not sure about Pearson myself. I feel like he'd be a bit too fiery for our fragile lot. Like setting a honey badger in against a swarm of bees.

You were born 20 years too late mate.

You'd have loved the 80's. Perms, shiny suits.

Well you've just had King Mollycoddle in and with 80 odd million pounds worth of cash spent you've never looked worse. If I was Ashley I'd be looking for somebody to come in and kick their arses for 10 games then bring someone like Rafa in until the summer. Think those sort of targets wouldn't be interested until the summer anyway, they've no need to risk their managerial records for a ten game quick buck pay day.

You'll definitely not look daft on Saturday 2nd, will you :emoticon-0138-think

It would have been better if that match was on Saturday 1st (April) :emoticon-0100-smile
