That did make me laugh, in fact the aftermath with Rio and Scholes was just as good as the game <laugh>

He had a point though, just letting Lallana mug them off without a challenge in that fixture is unheard of

  5. I could be wrong but I think the players near Lallana at the time had been booked. Felliani certainly had.

UEFA are still waiting for the referee report

Man Utd are trying to come up with a way of saying the refs dealt with Fellaini despite not seeing the elbow

I am not wumming, but does anyone think that Mourinho will improve matters at Utd. He does not actually put teams out who play exciting football and he will have to move out a lot of underperformers. Also how long will they give him 12 mths, 18mths?

I hope they get him because it will be a spectacular failure which will waste several years and hundreds of millions of pounds

Man Utd's youth development will take a decade to recover too

Just been said on Radio Merseyside news that if the referee mentions the Hillsborough chants in his match report Uefa have said their disciplinary committee will sit and decide on a punishment for MUFC.

If they are punished let it be a lesson to our supporters (and theirs) that the chants are unacceptable to decent supporters of both clubs and to the club's themselves.

It's about time it was put to bed...if sanctions against either club are the only way to get the idiots to stop then so be it...

Hopefully the sanction is something more than closing the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, which they were going to do anyway (suddenly a lot less interest in tickets from 'home' fans)

Don't think Fellaini will be punished considering his star witness is the player he elbowed.

Liverpool's Emre Can plays down Marouane Fellaini elbow

Marouane Fellaini (left) was playing in his first game for over a month on Thursday
Emre Can has played down the apparent elbow from Marouane Fellaini during Liverpool's 2-0 Europa League last-16 win over Manchester United on Thursday.

United midfielder Fellaini appeared to catch Can with an arm during Thursday's first leg at Anfield and could face retrospective punishment from Uefa.

But 22-year-old Can said: "Fellaini is a fair sportsman. He touched my throat with his elbow but it is OK.

"It was just a small fight. It was not a boxing ring punch."

Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo produced six bookings in the game, but did not produce a card for Belgian midfielder Fellaini for the clash with Can.

Actually Can's statement just #confirms violent conduct by Fellaini for UEFA's point of view, he's just calling him weak

If Markovic gets 4 games for a flick of the finger Fellaini needs to be smashed by UEFA

Fair enough, shows the class Can has and means he's available to play next week. If he gets selected after that performance that is.

Can describes it as "a small fight", takes two to fight, I reckon Can has inadvertently saved the human tree from a ban.
