Can was hugely better than v palace. He needs to learn that if you've a level you have to attain it week in week out.

Firmino came alive at no 9 again. but he worked so hard as did lallana. they are absolutely key to the high press for klopp. These two he won't drop unless he gets better players. Lallana hasn't got the agression to get i nthere and really grab the goals he needs to but he worked so hard with the others that all utd had was kick it away.

 

Police must have done a good job to keep the rival fans from fighting. Hope you guys do not descend to that level in the return. Possibly a date with destiny is one match nearer .....Dortmund here you come??

 

i'm not obsessed with dortmund.

In case people missed it there are some serious sides that can do for any english club in the QF draw outside of dortmund.

villareal have done for napoli and are now disposing of bayer leverkusen.

bilbao are playing valenca.. thats one spanish team out there but bilbao are very good, very tough team

fenerbache are in there

Lazio are still in.

The QF draw could be:

dortmund, ath bilbao, fenerbache, LFC, Lazio, Shaktar, Sevilla, villareal


Now I have been told i'm negative but..... LFC v any of that lot is a big ask.

Thats a quality line up so the absolute arrogance of van gaal saying prior to the draw v us they were going to win it and even after drawing us they were going to win it?

Er, we're not there yet. This tie isn't over, but hopefully we'll go to OT and try to score early doors and they'll need four. Then it will be over.

Think our biggest asset is that van Gaal won't see it a chance of ultimate glory, say like Arsenal in '89, but instead will try to bore us into giving two goals away. But anyway, it isn't over yet, so let's worry about who we get in the draw as and when we actually win this one.

i know ManU were rubbish but thought we played really well and in the big games Klopps getting the players to buy into the plan though still work to do against "smaller" names.Really hope w3e can carry on that form for the rest of the season and lets see what that brings us.

 

Very much this! We are only at the half way point of the tie and we all know how Liverpool love to cave in for certain games.

I remember in the early hours after Istanbul (having already polished off eight bottles of Czech lager, two bottles of chilled white and 2 cans of Guinness) of finding a six-year old bottle of Metaxa in the back of the larder under the stairs.
