Have to agree. These Thursday night trips are horrendous for our league challenge. The FA cup matches get played at weekends so for me, we prioritised the wrong competition.

  2. totally agree - but watching the way BD are playing reminds me of OUR best games - the pressing and speed of passing and movement is excellent. They are a top, top side!

The squad is perfectly decent when everyone is fit. All clubs struggle when they have injuries. Not sure how that is Levy's fault.

some overly harsh comments from some of you i feel, this dortmund side are really good and i dont feel the selection would have changed the outcome, scoreline maybe but no the outcome.

Not it isn't. We literally only have one striker and one holding midfielder.

Pochettino has tried to wing it, but you cannot tell me, fatigue/injuries/resting aside, that this
was the strongest MF that could be rustled up.

Lineker 'Watching Spurs getting spanked by Dortmund makes you realise that rotating your team rarely works.'
Rotating the team does work, making wholesale changes doesn't. We need to change two or three players every match

People are criticising the team selection because we've gone weak in a big game.
We picked stronger sides earlier on in the competition, which makes absolutely no sense.

Dortmund would not be winning this tie in the first leg against the current strongest
    available Spurs side.

They are a quality team, totally agree. But if we'd have taken this seriously and not played the "passengers", we'd have given them a bloody good game, and who knows? - may have come away with something tonight and the tie still been alive.

jst imagine if villa beat us on Sunday. Absolute meltdown.

    7 changes this match.

What a static defence... No cover from midfield....no heart and belief tonight.

Bentaleb and Mason did fine as the midfield pair last season - why don't they count all of a sudden.
And as for the striker we tried to buy one and failed. Its a massive mistake to buy low quality as a stop gap. Look at City and Chelsea - they have the sort of player that everyone on here wanted us to sign and they don't get on the pitch.

I wouldn't call Mason or Bentaleb holding players.
That's one of the reasons that we conceded so many goals last season.

Failing to even pick up a striker on a loan was ludicrous.
Going two windows without signing one is poor.

youre probably right, its been a while since youve had a lesson handed to you by anyone due to pochs improvement of you as a side, so i can get the "outrage" im sure most will calm a bit by tomorrow and re-evaluate.

i disagree, i dont think you wouldve been as dominated for the whole game like tonight and maybe wouldve got a goal or even 2 but you still wouldve lost against this team tonight, theyve had around 5/6 clear cut chances not including the goals and tbh never looked like theyve left 2nd gear all night.
